Status and Advice

Actually, you should just have indicated you were protesting it, according to the instruction on the speedy notice on the article. . But, of course, you were quite right to do so., since even at the beginning the article indicated he was a member of a professional football team, which is certainly enough to pass speedy deletion, and might be enough for WP:N. It might be a good idea to add some additional references--they should certainly be there. (I've left an appropriate message for the editor who mistakenly tagged the article.) Thank you. 100 appearances is not particularly significant, many players will reach that mark for their clubs.
