Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as Svenland, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. – NJD-DE (talk) 18:37, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

speedy deletion only applies to cases where the deception is so obvious as to (constitute pure vandalism). Additionally, the mere fact that the page is about a hoax does not, on its own, qualify for speedy deletion... this doesnt seem to apply to svenland as cases have to be for extremely obvious deception constituting to vandalism, even if it was a hoax what clarifies it to be vandalism? thanks Irelandicehockey (talk) 20:52, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There are many websites where children (and sometimes others) can amuse themselves by writing about things they have made up, such as "micronations" which they like to pretend are real countries, but Wikipedia is not one of them. Wikipedia aims to have articles only on subjects which have received substantial coverage in multiple reliable sources; clearly your "micronation" hasn't, so it is unsuitable as the topic of a Wikipedia article. That applies whether or not the articles were hoaxes, so arguing about whether they were is irrelevant. JBW (talk) 21:12, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Crossgar[edit]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Crossgar appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 15:08, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
