Per your request, I have userfied this page to User:Itgemgirl1/Melissa B.; furthermore, I have locked the page in mainspace so that it can not be moved back without administrator approval. I am concerned about your conduct with respect to this subject, as your account appears to be recently created primarily for the purpose of creating this article, an activity that has involved a substantial majority of your edits in the short time here. I also find your use of the words "sources we have been finding" to be suspicious, notwithstanding your claim that you were referring to sources found by the community, because there has been very little in the way of editors other than yourself finding sources. • "Comment" - I understand that I have very little time on here. I will be contributing to more subjects. I appreciate you setting this to [userfied] I will work on this and get help from the community. I thank you for your decision [User:BD2412]. I look forward to working further on this subject and others on this platform. Itgemgirl1 (talk)

Information icon

Hello Itgemgirl1. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Itgemgirl1. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Itgemgirl1|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Praxidicae (talk) 15:36, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. I am not getting paid for anything. I am new to this community. I really enjoy doing the research on a subject and digging and doing the work. I am sorry that you feel that my engagement looks strange to you but I am new to this and I am learning the ropes. Now if there is place where I should go do a few other articles lead me too it and I will join in to help make the article better. Thank you for pointing out that I am making edits but I am only trying to give my best and dig for the right information. Hey you wanna be my mentor and point me in the right direction be my guest I all ears. I appreciate your concern and I welcome the help. Itgemgirl1 (talk) 22:46, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

First article[edit]

I see the writing on the wall and wanted your first effort to be preserved as is after the local improvements to it made by me and others. I took the liberty of copying the current Melissa B. article to your sandbox as a starting point for you to continue incubation of it. It may be too early and it would just need some time for her to make more of a mark in reliable sources. Let me know if you need additional help getting started. Have fun editing. GenQuest "Talk to Me" 03:55, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • "Thank you" User:GenQuest I truly appreciate all the help you have given me on Melissa B. this subject. I would love your help. I also want to do a discography of Melissa B. as well. I have been searching in alot of places on her and there is enough there. I have looked on other artists out there that don't have the same information as she has been. Let's work on this together as I think this is so much fun. Also I looked at the people connected to her that should have a few things added as well. All in all to me this is a good project. Help me![edit]

Please help me with... I need help with my Draft in my sandbox. The subject I am working on the page got deleted so now I have a chance to get more people in the community to help get this finally in the right place and published. I welcome all the help on this subject. User:Itgemgirl1/sandbox Itgemgirl1 (talk) 03:20, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Since nearly all content on Wikipedia can use improvement, you are not supposed to use the {{help me}} template to solicit help with supplying content or generally improving a page. The template is intended for asking for help about "how to edit".
The answer to the question you did not ask is: given the results of the deletion discussion and the general approach you are taking, there is no point working on a draft for Mellisa B at this time. You need to find a different subject to write about or you need to spend considerable time improving existing articles so you can learn how Wikipedia works. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 05:04, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
