Alba Volán Székesfehérvár[edit]

That was a good catch about the copyright violation on Alba Volán Székesfehérvár. I've deleted the material. If you've got a good eye for this, the way to proceed in the future is: 1) If you can, fix the Wiki article so it doesn't violate copyright. 2) If that isn't possible -- for example if the whole article is a copyright violation, then mark it with tag

subst:Copyvio|url=HERE

(enclosed with double braces)

Two common situations to be aware of: Sometimes the other site is copying Wikipedia. And that's ok, as long as they credit us. Some material on the Web is ok to cut-and-paste into Wiki...for example public United States government documents. Regards, Piano non troppo (talk) 10:20, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A question[edit]

I have seen Six Nations Championship article and automatically noticed that Irish rugby side has no flag. When I wanted to fix it, I saw that it has noflag template on purpose. Why is that? Jambornik (talk) 20:10, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

See this discussion regarding that -> Talk:Six Nations Championship#Irish flag
It appears it is a matter of copyright undergoing discussion. Chances are it will be sorted out fairly soon. themcman1 talk 16:35, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Normally I don't cooperate much on en wp (much more on sl wp) but I saw the article and said What a hack?! I'll ask someone. Jambornik (talk) 16:45, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Football mascots[edit]

Hi, I have asked FIFA your question and have posted their answer here. Stu.W UK (talk) 04:25, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot. Now the page looks even more professional. Jambornik (talk) 15:16, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just thought id send a quick reply. I wont have time to add any more the articles, back to uni, but im pretty sure all that information is available from the IIHF site. so it could be sourced from there without any translation problems. Salavat (talk) 12:40, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cool. Well, it could be sourced that way but most of the matches are already copiable into en wp. Perhaps I'll do that, dependent on time. Jambornik (talk) 13:39, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oskars Cibuļskis[edit]

Hey, if you're still interested in creating an article about Oskars Cibuļskis in the Slovenian wikipedia, I finally translated his article into English. Gragox (talk) 12:32, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Jambornik (talk) 13:48, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shakhray[edit]

Jambornik, do you have an information about hockey player Valeri Shakhray? --Burduhuan (talk) 16:34, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can talk your mother tongue, mislim, da bi te razumel. But since you asked in English I shall reply in English. Valeri Shakhray (Slovene Valerij Šahraj) was a Slovenian/Ukrainian ice hockey player who played for the Slovenian national team for a certain period of time. As far as useful English links are concerned I don't get past the Eurohockey profile. I guess all you can do is translate the article from Slovene to English and add some Slovenian sources, like the newspapers etc. If you have the will to improve the article at that point you can email some people. But that is firstly unsecure in the line of personal data and secondly the success rate of anybody answering is pretty damn low. But you can try. Anyway, need any help translating the article into English, don't hesitate to ask me for help. Greetings --Jambornik (talk) 22:02, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry[edit]

Sorry for my question about Valeri Shakhray. I'm enter "Shakhray" (not Šahraj) and didn't find the article about ukrainian/slovenian player. I'm don't slovenian, I'm ukrainian and living in Russia. But I like Slovenia. I learning slovenian language by http://translate.eu/ru/translators/Slovenian-Russian/ . I want to know slovenian. Thank you for greetings. --Burduhuan (talk) 15:22, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry. I really didn't know you aren't Slovenian. When you added some articles on sl iw about Slovenian footballeers I thought you are from ex Yugoslavia as your sentences seemed quite similar to Croatian or Serbian language.
Before you ask, I don't understand a word Russian or Ukrainian. But I like the culture and I want to learn the cyrillic alphabet so I guess that makes us similar. Have fun, --Jambornik (talk) 15:46, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not that new among wikipedians actually. Why I didn't edit it directly, like in medias res and not worry about the consequences? Because the entire article is written in a prorussian style and because the latest entry isn't a lonely one. I would have a lot of work to fix this subjectivity and I have neither time, energy or motivation to do it. Slovenian wikipedia lacks much more articles than the english one and I feel my help is more needed there. --Jambornik (talk) 12:50, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
