Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website, I have blocked this account from editing. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you.

Do you have any personal or business relationship with the individual you're writing a draft article about? --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:42, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

He is paying me to edit and draft the article as a neutral third party. I am attempting to update my disclosure, but I can't with my account blocked. JasonWeitz (talk) 22:15, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not a problem, I have updated it for you while your block review is still pending. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:46, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK, looks like you're unblocked and fully disclosed. Allow me to provide some advice for your draft.
  1. Remove all references self-published sources. Wikipedia articles must be backed up by reliable and independent sources. The subject's own social media sites fail on both these counts.
  2. Articles must be written from a neutral point of view - a cold, emotionless summary of facts. We do not appeal to readers' emotions - we present plainly factual information, and let the reader decide how they feel about it. Therefore, reword or remove entirely any text that contains rhetorical flourishes such as "resonated with Latimer's passion" and "An experiential, deep nature hospitality concept at the foot of the beautiful and incomparable Sierra Mountains in California". MOS:WTW is a guide of how to avoid words and phrases that introduce bias.
  3. Realize that as a Wikipedia editor, you must place the interests of the encyclopedia and its readers above personal concerns. Wikipedia's mission is to provide the public with articles that summary accepted knowledge from reliable sources, written neutrally and independently of their subjects. Also, you and your client will never have any right of ownership or control over an article should it be accepted. Anyone acting in good faith, which we assume by default, can edit any article at any time. A Wikipedia article is not a badge of honour, and there are many reasons why someone should not desire to have one.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate your prompt responses and customer service. I would never want to compromise Wikipedia, and I have been given full editorial reign over the article, so all the pretty and colorful adjectives will be removed.
Once again, thank you. I can't tell you how wonderful you have been! JasonWeitz (talk) 16:25, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome, although I wouldn't call it "customer service". I am not an employee of Wikipedia; I and every editor here is a volunteer, editing in their spare time. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:05, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: David Latimer (April 15)

Hi @Jamiebuba,
Thank you for your quick response! Can you help me to understand what type of article and mentions you are looking for? David Latimer has had numerous appearances in Dwell Magazine, Architectural Digest. Buzzfeed, Country Living, HGTV, New York Post, Good Morning America, Business Insider, the Today Show, etc. I have done my best to include only third-party, independent articles, but he may only get passing mention in them because he was working with large brands, like Dunkin' and Disney - they funded the project as part of a PR campaign and so were the focus of the article. David Latimer has more extensive case studies of these projects, but they live only on his website which I did not want to refer to.
Please let me know what adjustments can be made that would get this article accepted. Thank you! JasonWeitz (talk) 17:44, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
