Your edit to the page Mike Feinstein has been reverted because of excess redundant wiki linking. It is the established consensus that articles should only link to other articles once per page. The Feinstein article already had a link to the Green Party of California when you added two identical links to the article for GPCA (which is a list of organizations abbreviated as GPCA). Since the GPCA links are clearly intended to lead a reader to the Green Party of California article they are considered redundant. Also when adding wiki links they should lead to the specificly relevant article when possible rather then generalized one's example (Green Party vs. Green Party (United States)). Some of your edits to article Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association have been reverted due to excess wiki linking. It is established Wikipedia consensus not to wiki link words that form part of a title. Example (Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association (GPCA)) should be used instead of (Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association (GPCA)). Also GPCA should not be linked because while leading to a different page (list) it is intended to lead right back to the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association article. A tag has been placed on Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. 2help (message me) 07:43, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your Wikilink additions[edit]

Hello, I have also undone the numerous wikilinks you added to several articles, as they seem to classify as spam. In short, it is not appropriate to add this company to 'see also' sections which do not include other companies. 2help (message me) 15:27, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, I removed further wikilinks I saw. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Spam#How_not_to_be_a_spammer to avoid further misunderstandings. Thank you, 2help (message me) 04:29, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. the reason why i added those links to the various site is because those company are actually members under GPCA which i feel that there's a connection between both parties, does that violates the rules as well?

Thank you for your response. I feel that, in that case, it might be a better idea to create a list within the GPCA article which lists all (or the most notable) companies which are members of GPCA. What do you think? 2help (message me) 22:02, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your suggestion. But wouldn't it be regarded as a corporate spam? I did it once, and it was being removed.

As long the list is within the GPCA article, I doubt it will be considered spam. However, please make sure that this content, and other content on the article, is encyclopedic. I have a few suggestions:
  1. Perhaps some information on the company's history and future plans would be appropriate, rather than such a detailed look at its management structure.
  2. Take a look at WP:Conflict of Interest if you have not yet done so. Wikipedia strongly discourages writing about companies you have a vested interested in, although it is not disallowed. Please ensure you keep a neutral point of view.
  3. Wikify your article, to incorporate it into the whole of Wikipedia.
  4. Add external, third-party references for verifiability. Otherwise the article may be nominated for deletion.
  5. For future reference, understand that the writing will be edited by anyone on Wikipedia, and the company does not own the article.
For the time being, I will add the "under construction" tag to the article, to allow to continue working on it. As usual, let me know if you have any questions, 2help (message me) 14:07, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ditto[edit]

Another editor who's removed the three GPCA links you added to a single paragraph of a completely unrelated article (Max Mosley; the GPCA referred to there is not one of those listed at the disambiguation page you're linking to). Please stop adding more or less random links. Cheers. 4u1e (talk) 18:07, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.apic-online.org/about_apic.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. will it be possible to restore the content that was previously deleted? I will send the relevant emails to prove that its not a infringment of copyright as soon as possible. thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JasperBoon (talkcontribs)

Hi Jasper, it will indeed be possible to restore the content once proper permission has been received. If you need a refresh on the procedure, it is highlighted at WP:PERMISSION. As soon as your permission is validated, an administrator will restore the material.
If you need any help, don't hesitate to create a new section here and add {{helpme}} (note the brackets) below it, someone will be along shortly to assist you. Alternatively, you can also leave me a message on my talk page. Best, MLauba (talk) 08:49, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for your reply, i have sent the email to grant the permission right already, waiting for a reply now.

The article has been blanked pending processing of your letter. Once your letter is received and logged, the article will be restored. I will note that a search of the email system did not produce the e-mail. If it may have been lost in transit, you might wish to resend it. Please be sure to include the name of the article in your e-mail so that a system search can more easily find it. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:37, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:File:Apic logo.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:File:Apic logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
