October 2021[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Miami Beach Senior High School have been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 18:50, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Non-notable alumni[edit]

Please stop adding non-notable alumni to lists as you did here. There are criteria for inclusion; we don't include everyone who has ever graduated from the institution, even if our personal opinion is they are notable. Start with WP:NPROF for direction. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 17:18, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Jeffry Lansman has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Autobiographies[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Draft:Jeffry Lansman. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --Hammersoft (talk) 00:32, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I have moved this to draft space because the article is totally lacking in any reliable, secondary sources that would support notability of this person. I strongly encourage you to stop crafting this draft (assuming it is you; you do not need to confirm) or in the very least find such sources. I'm at your disposal if you have questions. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 00:35, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop attempting to add this alum to this article. We have standards for inclusion of such individuals as you can see at WP:NPROF. We are not a listing service, and we do not include anyone and everyone who has graduated. Having a PhD does not make a person notable by our standards. --Hammersoft (talk) 00:34, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Jeffry Lansman moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Jeffry Lansman, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 19:30, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

November 2021[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Jeffry Lansman. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Final warning[edit]

If you persist in recreating Jeffry Lansman or adding the same person as an alumni of Miami Beach Senior High School (or any other school, college, or university), I will indefinitely block your account from editing. You are effectively engaged in an edit war attempting to force the creation of this article. Myself and another administrator have thrice now deleted this article from mainspace. A draft was created for you to work on at Draft:Jeffry Lansman. You have ignored repeated requests to provide reliable, secondary sources to support the notability of this person per WP:NPROF and have failed to do so. Instead, the latest iteration contained 57 primary sources of papers authored by this individual. This is effectively saying that Lansman is notable because Lansman says they are notable.

From your very first edit you have been attempting to promote this person. You are either in violation of Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure or ignoring the warning given to you above at User_talk:Jeffbl2959#Autobiographies. If you ever want there to be an article about this person on this project, you absolutely must carefully read and adhere to WP:NPROF, as well as Help:Your first article. I am willing to help you, but continuing as you have is completely incompatible with working on this project.

This ends. Now. If you have questions, ask. Continuing as you have will result in an indefinite block. You are quite welcome to work on Draft:Jeffry Lansman and submit it for consideration. --Hammersoft (talk) 12:45, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

With all respect to the departed DGG, this never should have been an accepted article from draft. There are no independent, [[WP:SECONDARY|secondary, reliable sources supporting the article. I have moved it back to draft space at Draft:Jeffry Lansman. Warnings in sections above remain in place. --Hammersoft (talk) 22:09, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
