Speedy deletion nomination of Jordan Crandall[edit]

A tag has been placed on Jordan Crandall requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://visarts.ucsd.edu/faculty/jordan-crandall. Hi, thanks for message. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by him or his organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. Rather than jumping through all the hoops that are required, it's probably quicker to rewrite in your own words.

Make sure that you provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that he meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, or they will be deleted. It is likely that he wrote that synopsis himself, and it was written in a self-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Better to use independent sources too where possible.

Use wikilinks eg University of California, San Diego to link to other articles.
