January 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Annh07. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Parenting have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 10:35, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Larry Hockett (Talk) 10:45, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Parenting, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. Annh07 (talk) 11:25, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is not spamming, considering the topic and neither I have updated any inappropriate links. Jfebin1998 (talk) 11:44, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Jfebin1998. A source that needs our guidelines as given in WP:RS. These commercial sites are spam, not reliable sources. Annh07 (talk) 12:04, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Annh07 this is not an commercial site and it is not an sapm, I'm handling this site hence kindly suggest an alternate solution Jfebin1998 (talk) 14:00, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You may contribute content to articles as long as it is cited from reliable sources. However, do not add external links to commercial websites, pages selling products or services, company websites. Please read WP:LINKSPAM and WP:ELNO. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 14:13, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did with this edit to Signs and symptoms of pregnancy. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Adakiko (talk) 11:43, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Adakiko This is not an spam link as you can see there are multiple links relevant to the current article so I have shared my information regarding ectopic pregnancy and this is not spamming Jfebin1998 (talk) 11:57, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Don't cite your own work. It's known as wp:CITESPAM. Please don't. Adakiko (talk) 12:00, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Adakiko kindly let me know a few things, I have got to know that citation is adding a reference of the exact article for the subject which is present in the Wikipedia page, should it be only a proper article page or how does it work Jfebin1998 (talk) 11:46, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please ask at the wp:Help desk. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 18:02, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
