Hi, Jim. It's nothing personal. But I think the article would be improved if you state in the introduction that the value of the case lies chiefly in its historic interest. Deb (talk) 20:33, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DYK

[edit]
Updated DYK query On 3 April, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article The King v. Haas, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

A new task force - ESA

[edit]

Hello,

I've noticed that you are active in the area of space exploration. I just wanted to let you know that a European Space Agency task force has been set up to improve the presently very poor condition of articles about ESA and related topics. If you are interested, please join the task force here. We sure could use your help. Thanks.U5K0 (talk) 11:29, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's a very generous offer and I thank you, but my area of "expertise" is the "space race" leading up to the Apollo lunar missions. I'm less up to speed on the Space Shuttle program and know very little about the ESA, so I must decline your kind offer. Thank you for the invitation, though. John of Gaunt

[edit]

I removed the reference to Katherine Swynford and Gaunt's children being named after Beaufort Castle because Gaunt's title of Beaufort related to lands in Auvergne captured by Henry Grosmont that Gaunt held the title for, but which had been retaken by the French before the children's births -- and there isn't any evidence I know of outside of Anya Seton's Katherine for the Beauforts being named after the French territory. In evidence of Gaunt's Beaufort being in France, see Armitage-Smith. :) Tmp09 Tmp09 (talk) 16:28, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spaceflight portals

[edit]

Hello! As an member editor of one or more of the Spaceflight, Human spaceflight, Unmanned spaceflight, Timeline of spaceflight or Space colonisation WikiProjects, I'd like to draw to your attention a proposal I have made with regards to the future of the spaceflight-related portals, which can be found at Portal talk:Spaceflight#Portal merge. I'd very much appreciate any suggestions or feedback you'd be able to offer! Many thanks,

WikiProject Spaceflight activity

[edit]

Hello there! As part of an effort to determine how many active editors are present in the spaceflight-related WikiProjects, changes have been made to the list of members of WikiProject Spaceflight. If you still consider yourself to be an active editor in this project, it would be appreciated if you would please edit the list so that your name is not struck out - thus a clearer idea of the number of active editors can be determined. Many thanks in advance!

WikiProject Spaceflight reboot

[edit]

Hello there! As you may or may not be aware, a recent discussion on the future of the Space-related WikiProjects has concluded, leading to the abolition of WP:SPACE and leading to a major reorganisation of WP:SPACEFLIGHT. It would be much appreciated if you would like to participate in the various ongoing discussions at the reorganisation page and the WikiProject Spaceflight talk page. If you are a member of one of WP:SPACEFLIGHT's child projects but not WP:SPACEFLIGHT itself, it would also be very useful if you could please add your name to the member list here. Many thanks!
