John of Gaunt: Removal of Beaumont name[edit]
Hi. You deleted the fact that John's children by Katherine Swynford were named Beaumont for having been born in Beaufort Castle, Katherine's residence when they were born. The fact that those children bore a surname that was neither their mother's or their father's would raise a reasonable question regarding its source, and the answer seems innocuous enough. I'm comparatively inexperienced as a Wikipedia editor and I was wondering why you deleted that fact. Thanks Jim Simmons (talk) 05:19, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
