Proposed deletion of The Alien Invasion Survival Handbook

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Alien Invasion Survival Handbook, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

The article is about a book that has yet to be published. The only reference provided is a link to the publishers online bookstore. The two external links are blogs and so don't support notability. In fact, one of the two blogs is not even independent as it appears to be that of an editor for the book. A search for sourcing shows no reviews (unsurprising as it isn't released yet), and there are no article to indicate this is a widely anticipated book.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Conflict of interest

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later.
