Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Plan USA. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. TNXMan 14:44, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Richard M. Locke requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://watson.brown.edu/people/faculty/locke. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Adding - I'm willing to help and oversee any additions to the article, so please discuss on the article TP per WP:COI. I added the template disclosure but that can be removed once I start editing and verifying your WP:BLP. More biographical information is needed so the bio doesn't appear as a CV, so again, let's discuss at the article TP. Atsme📞📧 16:48, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Appreciate it. I will be adding in additional bio info shortly. Thanks for cropping the image for the infobox. Jmurphy88 (talk) 17:50, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, per WP:COI#COI editing, WP strongly discourages COI editing directly (the COI arises because the article is about you, not that it's paid). I realize you are a highly capable editor (understatement), but additions/changes need to be proposed on the TP first (not a biggy re: the infobox). I have this page watchlisted, was aware of the additions you made, and have already reviewed your edits...so all is well. I will be doing a bit of editing primarily for MOS and to make it more encyclopedic and less like a Faculty Bio. 😉 Atsme📞📧 21:10, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again. Further updates will be proposed here first. Appreciate your expertise and assistance! Jmurphy88 (talk) 22:28, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Make that the article TP, my apologies for the ambiguity. I'm happy to help. Atsme📞📧 01:00, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
