Hello, Joedumlao, and welcome to Wikipedia! It is great to see you contributing to Wikipedia. Here are a few important links for newcomers:

If you'd like some help with editing or otherwise, you can sign up at the new users log, post a question at the Help Desk, or ask me on my talk page.

Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. It is a good idea to read the most recent entries at the bottom of the talk page of an existing article before making major changes to it, to it to see if your proposed change has been discussed before. Before I make a major change to an article, I often make a proposal on the talk page to see if anyone minds.

Again, welcome! -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:06, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jackie Evancho

[edit]

Hello! I notice that you made some edits to the entry for Jackie Evancho that were reverted by various editors. The reason for this is that the information that you are trying to add is redundant. The footnote to that article already refers to the earlier article, and there is already enough about this writer in the article. If you would read the following guidelines (in addition to the ones linked above), I think it would help you in future edits: WP:BLP, WP:UNDUE and WP:BETTER. All the best! -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:06, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
