CallMeCarson in 2020.png

File:CallMeCarson in 2020.png has been nominated for deletion since January 8, 2021, and is still up. There has not been a proper response on the deletion nomination page since the same day. I left two messages, May 18 and May 30, on the nomination page. KullyKeemaKa (talk) 23:51, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

I'm not particularly active on Commons, but this would need an admin to look at and close as keep or delete. There is somewhere on Commons to request admins to look at deletion requests, but I can't remember where off hand, sorry. Joseph2302 (talk) 22:25, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Margaret Saurin

I only brought up the discussion on the ERRORS page because I figured that if simply pulling the hook entirely for discussion was the best option, Amakuru would have done it instead of keeping the discussion there for over a day and half - to the point that there was only one hour left until the set went live. A few other editors that I respect didn't bother to mention that option either. I barely ever post on ERRORS and I'm sorry that I made a mistake in using it. SL93 (talk) 21:32, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

SL93 No hard feelings, I was mostly annoyed that the replacement hook was factually incorrect, because an admin wrote their own hook (that was different to the ones being discussed). And once the hook was on the front page, that was too late for it to be pulled. Joseph2302 (talk) 08:31, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

re.: Gerard Schurmann

Can the piece I wrote about Gerard Schurmann now be re-installed? The Gramophone authorized a link to his obituary which is now on the site. The piece I wrote is my copyright. Lasovich (talk) 19:36, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

Greetings! I think that your concept of creating a 'Personal life' section is a cool idea that nicely holds the present position. However, if Robinson does get sanctioned by the ECB then that moves the saga firmly into his professional (sporting) life and out of his personal life. It would also substantially raise the status of this incident and we should need to reconsider how to structure it. HTH. 77.99.37.105 (talk) 23:26, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

Agreed, if it has an impact on his cricketing career then it would probably be appropriate to put it in one of the cricket career sections. Joseph2302 (talk) 12:35, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
It;s now in the "International career" section, as he's been suspended from international matches only by the ECB. Joseph2302 (talk) 09:01, 7 June 2021 (UTC)

No worries- it's what happens when stupid magazines jump the gun and tell everyone it's definitely moving to UAE and Oman. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:05, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
Ha! Probably the same sources that "definitely" named the venues before the BCCI... Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:48, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Hi there, Joseph2302, and thanks for participating in the contest. You might be interested in covering one or more of the centenarians in Peaceray's detailed redlist. We have decided to target them for the remainder of the contest as all but one are from Europe. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 12:16, 18 June 2021 (UTC)

I've just requested some protection on my Commons talk page just now as an LTA which you're tired of by now had emerged earlier this morning. Fingers crossed protection happens. The history of mine is much longer than yours but thankfully with the Commons link you'd provided had helped me to find where the requests for protection lies. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 20:28, 24 June 2021 (UTC)

Hopefully it'll stop them, but I doubt it. It's a shame that there doesn't seem to be a way to semi-protect user talkpages on every wiki, as that would slow them down. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:24, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
One day the trolling will stop which is good news for us. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 06:00, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
