This page follows the format and content style of other pages of this type referencing a church, the page is in work. Please give me a little bit of a break, isn't marking the page less the 15 minutes after it's creation a bit much? Reference the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reformation_Lutheran_Church_(Columbia,_SC) to see what other long standing pages have done and let me know what needs to be different but don't just slam the page.

Another note, the history is not from a copyrighted source. It is from a public document without copyright. I reposted it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by K1goalie (talkcontribs) 00:50, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The existence of the other article has no bearing on this article, see WP:WAX for more information. This article fails the establish notability as defined in WP:ORG. I have no idea what a public document is. All text published after March 1, 1989, is copyrighted regardless of whether or not it contains a copyright notice. (Unless the document specifically states the material is released under a license such as CC-BY-SA 3.0) ttonyb (talk) 01:02, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The church asserts no copyright on this document as part of the council I can tell you that I can, do, and have released that part of the history to the public domain. Also please stop shouting, it doesn't help. Get a grip and leave the history be. Please revert your change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by K1goalie (talkcontribs) 01:07, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If you wish to create an article for Wikipedia, you need to follow the applicable guidelines. Unless the document specifically states the material is released under a license such as CC-BY-SA 3.0, (which it does not), the text in the document is assumed to be copyrighted in the eyes of Wikipedia and U.S. copyright laws. If you wish to be allowed to use the text, you need to release it for use by Wikipedia by donating it for use by Wikipedia. Please read the section and if you feel you can abide by the conditions of the guidelines, follow the instructions as outlined. ttonyb (talk) 01:14, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have formally requested mediation on this page. I also dispute that this page lacks a neutral point of view. Please state a specific example of lack of neutrality. I find it difficult to view any of the page (including what you are deleting) as anything but encyclopedic). Again revert the history as requested. Additionally, on the example page that I included did you mark their history as copyright violation? Did they have to donate the text? If I donate the text formally will you leave the contribution alone? K1goalie (talk) 01:17, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure what you meant that you have requested mediation on the page. I did not say the page lacks neutrality, only that the page has been created by someone that has a close connection to the article, this is a common tag that is placed on articles to advise of the connection. Again, I have not reviewed the article you referred to, so I cannot say if they are in compliance with Wikipedia guidelines. So you understand, this is not an issue of leaving a contribution "alone", but rather only an attempt to bring the article along to meet Wikipedia guidelines. Because the history portion that you are trying to add appears to be a violation of Wikipedia guidelines and U.S. copyright laws, I will not revert the deletion until you donate the material or comply with Wikipedia guidelines.
I have left a Welcome message on your talk page, I suggest you review the links in the message. I also suggest you read WP:COPYVIO and as indicated above WP:DCM. Additionally, the requirement to mark text with a copyright symbol was eliminated when the U.S. agreed to follow the Berne Convention concerning copyright procedures, that was effective March 1, 1989 - you may want to Google that text to find out more about copyrighting. My best to you. ttonyb (talk) 01:35, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
To save time, what categorization do you recommend for the donation of the text? K1goalie (talk) 02:00, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure what you are referring to. ttonyb (talk) 02:52, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am referring to where in wikicommons or wikisource I should put this to satisfy you K1goalie (talk) 03:26, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, I suggest we both step back and take a deep breath. It appears you believe this is an issue that needs to be addressed to satisfy me. It is not me that you have to "satisfy", the article needs to meet the Wikipedia criteria for inclusion. As a volunteer of this project, I am simply trying to help provide an article that meets Wikipedia criteria.
Is your thought that by posting it on commons you will absolve the existing copyright issues associated with the publication of the text in [1]? ttonyb (talk) 03:58, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
