Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Kalafogeteam. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Khadija Mohamed, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Also you can not just copy information from the https://somaliembassy.pk/ambassadors-biography/ website as that is a copyright violation Greyjoy talk 11:19, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A question about your account

[edit]

Does "team" in your user name indicate that this you are editing for a group, organisation, or business? JamesBWatson (talk) 12:51, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There have been several problems with this account, including the following. You have persistently edited contrary to the guidelines on conflict of interest, despite having been informed of them several times. You have not accurately disclosed your status as a paid editor, despite having been informed of the requirement to do so and being asked specifically about your situation. It is clear that you are editing for a business, despite your failure to say so, even when asked. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic unrelated to your business and your clients, you may request an unblock, but you will also need to have your user name changed, to reflect the fact that you will no longer edit for your business. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of this page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Before making any unblock request, you should read the guide to appealing blocks. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:02, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
