December 2020[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Essential oil, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Hashstalk 23:12, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I see that your additions to the article on essential oil have been reverted as "original research". I will evaluate these on the basis of what you wrote, not on the basis of what was kept (or not). If you can add citations and references to indicate the sources of the information that you added and show that it is not original research (which is not permitted by Wikipedia) then they can become a part of the article. I really like the nature of what you have tried to add, which is helpful information (and may even save some cats!) However, you need to provide reliable references in order for these edits to stick. Hoopes (talk) 22:28, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
