Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Thank you GPL93!
I have written a draft article but it is in my sandbox, and I wasn't planning to make it live. Is that still a problem? Sorry if it is. I can delete if necessary.
I was following the guidance in this article about requesting a Wiki page about your organization. It says to disclose your conflict of interest (I've done that on my user page, which I presume is why you've flagged this with me); it says you can request an article (I haven't done this yet), but that it is helpful to create a draft article in a user subpage to help whoever looks at your request. This is what I have done. But I recognise that I am an indidvidual, not an organization, so maybe this advice does not apply in my situation?
I don't know for sure if I am notable enough. I do have a red link on my name here but that might not mean anything as to notability. My work is discussed in several secondary sources. I don't wish to say for sure that I am - I thought perhaps that whoever viewed my request would make that call.
I'm sorry if I've done something wrong, as I said I wasn't planning to publish it, only keep it as a draft, but was planning to post a request for someone to create a Wiki page about my work and leave it in the hands of other users. I'd be grateful if you have any further advice on whether I have done anything wrong/breached guidelines. Thanks again for your message, I appreciate you taking the time to contact me.

Hi Kantel6. No need to apologize, it takes a while to learn the ropes when it comes to editing. I don't know if you meet notability standards, but it could very well be possible and you can request that an article be created on you snd your request will either be accepted or denied. You may want to consider making your user page a little more informal as may run afoul of guidelines, which I've left a brief summary of below.

User pages should not be:

The user page guidelines have additional information on what is and what is not considered acceptable content.

I hope I've been able to provided some further assistance and happy editing! Best, GPL93 (talk) 22:51, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again GPL93 - that makes sense, and I'll change my user page. Have a good day, wherever you are in the world! Kantel6 (talk) 07:23, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
