Welcome![edit]

Hello, DCMS N&C, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Sue Owen have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, DCMS N&C. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Sue Owen, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Drm310 (talk) 18:24, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you.

Help me![edit]

Hello, I have renamed my account (this was approved) and still seem to be blocked from editing / contributing to talk pages re the queries on my edits. These edits are direct from Sue Owen herself and they are not printed elsewhere, so I'm unable to you verify through a resource online. Please advise. I work in the internal communications team where Sue is the senior official in the organisation. Thanks Katy

KatyAtDCMS (talk) 08:49, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

When your account was renamed, the block was moved along with it too, this is purely technical and not your mistake. What you should have done is use the {{unblock-un}} template to get the rename and unblock done in one go (read above) but it's okay that you didn't. Use the {{unblock}} template and and an administrator will do the needful after reviewing your request. --QEDK () 09:28, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Accept reason:

Since the only reason cited for this block was the username, and since that was corrected, I unblocked this account. Vanjagenije (talk) 17:33, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to believe it would be appropriate to make those edits. It would not. You must provide a reliable citation; see WP:CITE and WP:RS. If you can't provide one (if, for example, you are relying on direct statements from Sue Owen to yourself), you should not make the edits. --Yamla (talk) 16:22, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
