Sourcing edits

[edit]

Hi Keith1611, thanks for your regular edits to Wikipedia. Good work on keeping the Singapore references updated. Keep in mind that your other statements in the Timeline of the COVID-19 pandemic in July 2021 article need to be cited with references to sources. For example, athletes and politicians contracting COVID-19 and going into isolation. See Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources for a list of both reliable and unreliable sources. Keep up the good work but also remember to cite your sources. Thanks. Andykatib 23:46, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! 220 of ßorg 03:38, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

November 2022

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Timeline of the COVID-19 pandemic in November 2022. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 07:36, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And you also did a cut & paste move with Responses to the COVID-19 pandemic in November 2022! Please do not do this again. Liz Read! Talk! 07:38, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, an article you recently created Timeline of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2023, is not ready as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage with citations from reliable and independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. I've moved your article to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's WP:GNG guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page. COVID-19 timelines

[edit]

Hi there, I think the discussion on Talk:Timeline of the COVID-19 pandemic in July 2023#Merge proposal might be of interest to you. There are plans to discontinue the COVID-19 timeline pages and to merge the 2023 articles into one. Andykatib (talk) 13:09, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
