A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Robinson Gichuhi, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Thank you for all your deletion comments. I, however, strongly object to the deletion of this article. The Kenya Welfare Association is NOT a minor organization. The impact that the organization has had on the Kenya Community (under the leadership of Robinson Gichuhi) in the 5 State area of jurisdiction ( Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, and Kentucky) cannot be under-rated. The unity and cohesiveness of the Kenya Community in the region and the capacity of the association to meet all challenges, such as raising $10,000 in one day for a cause, is and has been very important and commendable for a hitherto very fragmented community. You seem to under-rate the association and the principal of this organization for many years. Leaders do not pop up out of nowhere but are developed over time. The essence of this article is about someone who has been selfless, unwavering, committed (even in the face of major opposition and adversity) and strong during his tenure. He stood his ground as a leader. Anyone of global stature and understanding cannot dismiss his contribution to community development just because they do not know him. So, attempting to delete this article stumps exposure and awareness for folks out there who would like to meet similar challenges but lack the motivation. We hope that the article is a motivational tool and not some kind of advertisement (hence the removal of some advert-like commentary). I am happy to modify and bring to acceptable Wikipedia standard information about an individual and an organization that is worthy of such a write-up, and not wait until they are dead to give them the credit they deserve. Comments on this response are highly welcome. We will make improvements over time. We appreciate input to clean it and keep it updated. Please be fair. Thank you. Helpful hints, in reply to your email[edit]

It is not my intention to delete your contributions to Wikipedia. The outcomes of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robinson Gichuhi & Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Diaspora Movement of Kenya had clear consensus for deletion. I initiated Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Isaac Newton Kinity because I felt it had several of the same problems that resulted in the other deletions. Namely, Wikipedia articles must be on notable topics, making only verifiable claims based on reliable sources. As noted by Huon (talk · contribs), there have been general issues with the lack of proper sources; it has nothing to do with anything "discriminatory"[1] and the claim that the deletion is "an atrocity...and an affront to the struggle of the people of Kenya abroad"[2] and that the deletion of an improperly-sourced article is "an effort to 'kill' democracy and civil rights fights as led by Kenyans"[3] is flatly offensive. (Not to mention it's self-contradictory: Kenyans and their continental neighbors have struggled mightily with various corrupt governments and bloody wars; to compare the deletion of a couple of Wikipedia articles with any of these events is to diminish the importance of this enormous struggle.)

As you might have noticed, I've posted a few times at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Isaac Newton Kinity with possible sources that might be usable. This is the key: read Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. To responsibly host the biographies of a living person, there needs to be high-quality reliable sources from which to write a proper article. Help us find them.

As for Robinson Gichuhi and Diaspora Movement of Kenya, I don't think it's unreasonable to move the deleted content to your userspace for you to work on them. Alternatively, Wikipedia:Article Incubator might provide you with additional assistance in bringing the content up to standard.
