Image problems[edit]

Please don't upload images for which you fail to add the appropriate needed details, or whose details you don't have. We take copyright status and the images you uploaded don't have this information, so have been nominated for deletion. If you did not take the photos yourself and they are copyright to someone else, or you found them on a website or in a book, please don't upload them unless you have permission of the copyright holder. This is necessary so we can check any copyright tag you might add to an image. You may find it useful to read my image copyright information page. Good luck. ww2censor (talk) 22:39, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop refactoring the article The biomechanics of sprint running by readding the 1st level for some headers; we don't use them in articles but start with the 2nd level headers, known as the primary header per MOS:HEAD that use two equal signs on either side of the header name. Also we do not credit contributors in article, you are listed in the history. Adding contact information for attribution to yourself looks like self promotion or WP:COI and is not allowed. If you want to publish an article written by yourself with self attribution, then wikipedia is not for you as this is not a self promotion medium. This is an encyclopaedia and you must comply with our standards, policies and manual of style.

You may also not use the non-free image File:UCB Seal.svg in just any article you want; it must comply with all 10 non-free policy guidelines and have a fair-use rationale for each article it is used in and this use here fails WP:NFCI #2. Logos are usually only permitted in the infobox of article about the organisation of the logo as identification and nowhere else. Please stop reverting the corrections I made because they are disruptive and could get you blocked if you continue considering I left you polite messages explaining what you are doing incorrectly and why they are wrong. Good luck. ww2censor (talk) 04:27, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. In The biomechanics of sprint running, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Kinetics (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:54, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Cu_boulder_logo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cu_boulder_logo.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 05:07, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop[edit]

Please stop adding personal information about yourself to the article The biomechanics of sprint running. You have been warned (above) before about this because it is blatant self promotion, so if you continue, you may be blocked for disruptive editing. ww2censor (talk) 05:21, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Cu boulder logo.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Cu boulder logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 05:18, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

December 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Jprg1966. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Biomechanics of sprint running, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jprg1966 (talk) 04:32, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Jprg-

I apologize for all the confusion surrounding this page, I had originally created it for a school assignment (which is why I had a bunch of edits trying to add my name to the site, so I could prove to my professor that it was my page). I was writing up a grant document that contains a great deal of information from this page that I had originally created, so I wanted to remove the content until my grant had been approved. This may just be me being paranoid, but I did not want them to randomly come across this page and think I copied a bunch of stuff off of wikipedia ;)
