Questions

I don't understand the fair use rationale for uploading screenshots. I think I'm getting into trouble because a lot of my images are being dumped because of my inadequate fair use rationales. Can you help? Also, may I create new Categories? "Board games based on television programs" and "Board games based on films"? Thank you! TimmyTruck 21:58, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

THe CES Conspiracy

Hi Kukini. I find "THe CES Conspiracy" to be very offensive. Please take down that page as it has no relevance to the school (Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies) whatsoever and is completely fabricated as a joke. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.87.134.7 (talk) 06:31, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Washington Univ. alumni

Hello. Regarding your recent "requests for verification" on the List of Washington University alumni article: are you asking that it be verified that the marked individuals attended the school, or are you asking for some other form of verification about these individuals? Just as well I found you.. I was Recent Change patrolling (steadily becoming a hobby of mine lol) and I spotted an article [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junior_Reserve_Officers%27_Training_Corps ]. It had been vandalised, however, someone who I presume intented to undo the vandalism actually reverted it to a previous vandalised state. As you may have been able to see, the article is distraught (perhaps you could fix it? On it's history, the good edit is currently "01:30, 3 November 2007 Iridescent"). Now, another thing you may be able to help with would be to...well, assist me. I want to know how to revert edits not just the one before me. I mean, if you select the page's history and 'undo', how would you change the second-last edit, or multiple edits at once? Dlae Hit meh! 19:51, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, I think I got it...Yeah, I got it.Dlae Hit meh! 11:53, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Not vandalism but clarification and cleanup

Hi, I was doing some cleanup in pages related to various castes (groups). The section was irrelevant and was a remnant of an old vandalism by User:Mudaliar related to an arbitration case [1]. Can you please undo the reverts?

Re: empty EL section

In the last month or so, Template:Geolinks-US-cityscale has been modified for some reason to remove all the links. I don't know why, and there are a lot of other geography editors who are unhappy as well; apparently, another "realm" of Wikipedia did this without consulting us. For a long time, there were four external links on the Geolinks template (or the Mapit-US-cityscale, which redirects to it); not too long ago it was reduced to two, and then they were cut out altogether. I'm hoping that something can be decided that can be put back as an EL for the Mapit; as someone else said, it makes it look like the EL sections for many thousands of articles were vandalised. That's why, by the way, it looks as if there have never been ELs; you'd have to view it with a previous version of the Mapit to understand. Go read Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Geographical_coordinates#Geolinks-coord_Issues for more information; it's both enlightening and depressing. Nyttend 12:50, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Latin Kings

If you are going to discuss the Latin Kings then get the facts . I am a 4 generation Latin Kings and do not appreciate bias or lies of NY and Chicago Kings. We do not have a rivalry and New York Latin Kings have always acknowledged Chicago as Motherland.

You recently made a comment to them about their edit summaries. If you wouldn't mind looking at my talk page, there is an ongoing discussion about this user and the administrator helping has been unable to continue due to personal time constraints. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. In short, we believe this user to be a sockpuppet of a banned user. IrishLass0128 18:49, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Introduction to Wikipedia

Hey, thanks for the intro to Wikipedia on my talk page, however, I don't see myself being too involved with the website apart from making minor edits every now and then to keep things in shape when something looks out of place. Because of this, don't be offended if I removed your intro from my talk page. Once again, thanks, but I would rather keep my talk page free for actual discussions should any problems arise as opposed to meaningless clutter. Americanadian 11:34, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Your reverts

Hi, is there a reason why you keep reverting the redirect on the flammability article? I was trying to redirect the article to the proper term: inflammability. Please clarify why you are reverting? 172.129.15.175 (talk) 22:49, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Actually, only one user on the discussion page felt that the term flammability was proper. For an encyclopedia, I think we should use the grammatically correct term for the title of the article and then clarify in the body of the article the linguistic ambiguity. 172.129.15.175 (talk) 22:53, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Change to User:202.45.119.133 block warning

I noticed that you changed my warning from 'permanent' to 'longer', saying that permanent blocks are rare in your edit summary. I understand that even static IP address will change hands eventually, but it seems to me that Wikipedia is far too forgiving of vandalism, which probably constitutes more than half of each day's edits. If it's clear that someone is only vandalising the site, why not just get rid of the problem? – SJL 03:48, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

hi, I don't mean to spam. Can you please tell me what you consider an inappropriate link. I was linking to content--scholarly bibliographies that I thought were worthwhile. If I shouldn't just tell me.sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Teeveegal (talkcontribs) 18:20, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

I've notice this too. Teeveegal, Your contributions to wikipedia consist entirely of adding external links to carmun.com and is considered WP:Spam. Looking through your contributions as a whole, all are carmun.com related only. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a link farm. You're here to improve Wikipedia -- not just to funnel readers off Wikipedia and onto carmun.com, right? Hu12 18:27, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Texas State Bank Building

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Texas State Bank Building, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Texas State Bank Building. B. UD Alcohol

It's not vandalism per your suggestion. I dispute the addition of "alcohol abuse" as a section to the University of Delaware article. The editor only cites how many alcohol-related arrests there were on the UD campus without providing evidence that UD's numbers of underage alcohol consumption are so significantly out of proportion that it deserves mention in wikipedia. Only schools deemed "party schools" by either Playboy and/or the Princeton Review have such sections. Lacking any evidence to support why UD is a unique situation, I moved the section for deletion.--128.175.224.210 (talk) 07:10, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Nice work on that ip vandal. By the time I'd realised they were still at their games, you had them blocked, and my userpage cleaned up as well. Cheers. -- Longhair\talk 15:48, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

It appears the editor's signature directly above my post is causing this green text to appear. I can't seem to locate anything on your talk page causing the eyesore, so I suspect some fiddling has occured within their preferences. Ugly indeed :) -- Longhair\talk 15:50, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
