Hi Regarding Edits by pro kannada activists[edit]

I saw the pro kannada activist involving in edit war with you in Chalukya Article. We shall have a discussion in raising report against them and making sure that they will not create their own stories in wikipedia. E-Mail communication[edit]

Hi,

I was wondering if you could create an e-mail where I can get in touch regarding our WikiProject and future developments. Regards. Wiki Raja 20:30, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You would have to add it to your Wikipedia account, then you can e-mail me by posting it here or going to my user page and clicking on the toolbox of the left hand margin titled "E-mail this user". Once you do that I would receive an e-mail from you. After that, if you want, you can remove it from your Wikipedia account, unless you decide to still keep it in your account. Greetings in Telugu[edit]

Hi,

I have heard that in Telugu greetings it is Namaskaram or Namaskaramu which are both from Sanskrit. Is there an original Telugu version for greetings? Wiki Raja 02:05, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your alert on my talkpage[edit]

Hi, I have not been active on Wikipedia for long. In future, you may want to raise issues on Indian articles on the talk page of Indian Wikipedians' notice board or if the issues are serious, on the Administrators' notice board. Hope this helps, --Gurubrahma 14:41, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Telugu language had the strongest influence of sanskrit among the Dravidian languages. Funny part is the perception of telugu people that it is refined language because of sanskrit influence;whereas the Tamils are very proud of the fact that Tamil is least influenced Dravidian language and thereby original in nature. Anyways, i really appreciate the gr8 contribution of Kumar Rao to the Telugu language pages.Brothers in Arms 19:44, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

article on Reddy[edit]

Hi Kumarrao garu, I appreciate your work your doing with regard to many of the articles related to Telugu communities and its culture.I would like to collaborate to write and modify the article on Reddy.I think Reddy article is still an enigma to many due(including me)due to its large diversity and usage of the title by many communities. So it would be appropriate if the article is written as title article rather than a caste article. That would resolve most of the issues. And if we can get some good information on some of the main sub castes of reddy then we can provide links in the article to direct the reader to that page.Let me know your thoughts on this.

Thanks, John Rambo 04:26, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Regarding Naidu[edit]

I dont really agree that Naidu does n't denote caste, as in TN and coastal AP Naidu ot Naiker denotes caste i.e Kapu(caste)/Balija.I do agree that this is used by other castes in AP similar to Reddy esp in some Rayalaseema regions. In TN naikers of all communities started intermarry eachother like e.x balijas, kammas and gavaras intermarry based on thier caste title naidu similar to Reddies in AP. I forgot to sign myself before saving the edits.I will make sure that I follow the standards evrytime I make edits. Thanks for informing me the same. John Rambo 18:00, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Reply[edit]

Dear Rao, The naidu reference in Kapu article is not mentioned as a subcaste but as a title commonly used by kapus and the article also says about the origin of the title. It also mentions that other castes also uses the title. So there is no wrong in the naidu being put under the kapu article. If you go my population the title used by Kapus and its subcastes are more than all the other castes who are using it put together. Also there is a separate Naidu title article in wiki for those who want to view it as a title. Please refer it. I'm just now learning to add articles in wiki and I started signing my edits as suggested.I am aware as to how to do the same now.John Rambo 06:57, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

No aware[edit]

I'm not aware of the same as I'm learning the wiki guidelines.I'll make sure that these mistakes are not repeated. Thanks for informing me. John Rambo 06:59, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

False citations[edit]

Hi. I have noticed your recent edits to Telugu script and Kannada script articles.

  • The Chalukya citation from Devi Prasad dont satisfy WP:UNDUE. You have been informed about this several times but have ignored the advice even from admins.
  • The Bhatiprollu script you are now quoting is again your own conjecture. The table clearly shows the origin of Kannada-Telugu script is from Mouryan Brahmi script. An admin has been intimated about your consistant adding of false information.Dineshkannambadi (talk) 16:24, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kumar,

could you add some info on Chandra Babu Naidu as CM (1995-2004) in Andhra Pradesh wiki.... He deserves more credit than any other CM if not better than YSR. It was terible to see CBN as being mentioned as former finance minister. thnx Indianprithvi (talk) 10:30, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Mr Excirial,

Thank you for protecting Kamma (caste) from vandalism. Please block the offender 144.36.134.189. User:Sriramas and User:Lakshminivas have also vandalized the article. I appealed to them to discuus before making new inputs but of no avail. In fact, they appear to be sock puppets of each other. Thanks.Kumarrao (talk) 07:17, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As i am a Rollbacker, and not an Admin, i don't have the capacity to block users. User 144.36.134.189 has received a level 4 (Final warning) from me though, which means that in case of repeated vandalism a report will lead to a temporal removal of editing rights. I cannot warn the other two accounts though, even if vandalism took place since it was several days ago (Warning isn't done in retrospect).
While you are correct about the IP vandalizing the page, the two user account, based on Diffs are Good Faith editors meaning that their edits are made to inflict harm. I actually wouldn't even qualify them as "Wrong" since i cannot spot any mistakes on them. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 15:44, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Apart from my previous edit, i will have to give you a nudge towards the ownership guidelines. From the page history i can see you have been removing other users contributions on the basis of them not being discussed. The inclusion threshold however is "Verifiability", which means that discussion isn't required to add information to an article. unless another users edit can be proven as wrong, i would suggest leaving it in the article, or moving it to the appropriate section, but NOT removing it. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 15:50, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kumarrao, I saw your contribution, Most of which were really wonderful and stick to history. Please check some derogaory lines like mentioning of "chalukyas n haihyas merged into Kammas" its clearly known from history that both are Kshatriyas. Request you to check such lines which may spoil goodwill among other communities. With goodwill

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Nowhere its mentioned Durjayas were lineage of Buddha Varma, Pallava king...(Pallavas were agnikula Kshatriyas, nothing to do with rajus) so do u mean Durjayas belong to Agnikula kshatriyas not kammas. isint it funny that ur saying som nayudu son of Varma (kshatriya), people will understand as wrong relationship brother. Please put the appropriate citation for this lineage of Buddha Varma which I never saw in my life.

Another Kshatriyas never would like to be called as Shudra, other way is true. so ur saying that chalukyas(reminent watever) merged into Kammas is like funny. I just want 2 clear u Sagi surname belong 2 Rajus n Sagineni belong 2 Kammas. Sagis r still Kshatriyas not kammas.

Surnames r based on villages belonged to not necessarily which they have ruled. The descendants of dharanikota Kshatriyas r still ther, Krishnam Raju is one. I thought you have great historical knowledge, but you seem to be biased towards your community. For me whether its mine or any other community, the facts should be genuine. anyway by putting in ur wiki you cant change the actual history.

Dear Dr Prithvi,

I regret to say that you are mistaken. You are trying to understand history with 21st century mindset. Have you heard of Sagi Gannama Nayudu? We are not talking about rigid caste considerations but political compulsions of medieval times. I suggest you first read the third volume of Vignana Sarvasvamu, Charitra, published by Telugu University, Hyderabad. It seems you have also not read the book of C. Veerabhadra Rao fully. I promise you more interesting discussion after you read this stuff. Cheers.Kumarrao (talk) 12:28, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.169.145.14 (talk) 18:07, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kumar, yep bro you may be right that my mindset may be 21st century, but I do think genuinely. Respect all who are genuine. We all know Kakatiyas were Shudras, but Kakatiyas in ther inscriptions claimed to be Suryavanshi Kshatriyas. so in this case Inscriptions shall be believed r commonsense??? (I will def use my common sense in such cases)

Bro even u r thinking with 21st minset thats why you are hiding the facts like Kammas historically being shudras (ancient scripts say so). (I accept in 21st century it doesnt hold good). In old inscriptions, everywhere its mentioned Karmarastra(karmarattam) only (except by Kakatiyas n following n period) but you are using your POV n trying to manipulate as Kammarastram. In the above two cases why you are not following our old inscriptions. I think your wiki will be more credible when it follows equal standards n doesnt follow POVs. Hope u will take my suggestions positively. Even I force my comm also to put genuine facts.

Hi, I hav cited the pg 120 of history of Andhra by Durga Prasad, its a famous book n you hav also referred to it in your comm. btw plz refer me any neutral author books, not some biased ones. Also after defeat of 1076 AD Chalukyas were able to rule Vengi until 1130 under Pallava control. Rajendra Chalukya due to ther strong marital alliances was able to get Chola throne after death of Chola King n his Son. He started to rule as Kulottunga Chola n as he was local to Vengi he used to rule Vengi through his relatives. Thats y few gothras of Rajus claim to b descendents of Cholas. Indianprithvi (talk) 17:41, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thnx Kumar, im more satisfied about your clear reply in my talk page. As you only said, "It is a historical fact that a section of Haihayas and Chalukyas in the region of Kammanadu merged with Kammas because of political compulsions. This does not apply to Chalukyas present in other regions of Andhra." So plz make change acoording to your statement above, therz lot of difference between "section of Chalukyas & Haiyas merged" n "chalukyas & Haiyas merged". I Hope as a good historian U agree to this point. I am making change as per ur statements only only so that there is no disambiguity. Thnx. Indianprithvi (talk) 07:13, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Telugu script needed[edit]

HI![edit]

I'm sure you could help me! Please transliterate "Gautham" into Telugu script for me and put in on my talk page! many thanks :-) --91.130.91.110 (talk) 14:36, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Kumarrao,

I hav already apoligized u in both talk pages. (mentioning if u genuinely not used that id, apologize me). I just asked admin whether the second ID was used from same region, as u only asked 2 get clarified from admin. I hav mentioned admin ab NOT VANDALISING clearly, again sorry if I hurt u....I jus wanted 2 clarify this coz of Frustration created by the second ID who drags same issue again n again without any logic...n moreover seems like dummy ID I was always involved in meaningful discussion, to sort out n resolve few issues.

I hope u understand me n continue constructiv discussion.

Thnks Indianprithvi (talk) 06:51, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Friendly Discussion[edit]

Dear Kumarrao,

I had always a productive discussion wid u earlier. I do follow urs n Mr Dinesh Kannambadi's WP contributions/discussions both hav good knowledge of history one Politely supports telugu history n another strongly supports kannada history (mite b arogantly :-p). Both hav ther pros n few negatives.

I hav gained gud historical knowledge from both of ur discussions mite b ur way of answering too.[:p] So I can distinguish ur articles by words/phrases u use. I donno wat was necessity for good historian like u to use another id to discuss wid me on Rajus WP (Im pretty much sure basing on the phrases, sentences used n historical knowledge conveyed it was u, but if mistaken then apologize me).

I hav answered ur queries in talkpage.

I hope 2 move for constructive work wid u, plz feel free to comment on my writings in my talkpage which can help in improvising.

thnx Indianprithvi (talk) 12:39, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
