Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Hello Labrodorite, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Draft:International Ocean Discovery Page has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

While it's great to see a National Academies publication used as a reference (very reliable source), it's not so great to see it used inappropriately.

No where in that publication is the claim of "Together, these programs represent the longest running and most successful international Earth science collaboration" backed up.

Did you mean to put that footnote earlier in the sentence? Do you have another reference that the "most successful" claim is backed up? If not please remove it and any other unsubstantiated claims.

There seems to be some confusion here. Some of the references are about "Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP)" and others are about "International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP)". It can't be both. Also, calling this encyclopedia entry the "Page" means that you may not understand what Wikipedia is about. It is an encyclopedia, not a place for an organization's page.
