This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of SouthEast LinuxFest (SELF), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.ls.net/node/887. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Hi, Lbyrd! Thanks for the message. Since most copyrights are incompatible with this site's GNU Free Documentation License, any copyrighted material is deleted as a matter of policy. I deleted it after the bot tagged it as a violation. What you would have to do in order to post the material here is to first release it over on your site to the GNU. I honestly don't recommend that since it basically voids your original copyright and leaves it open for anyone who wishes to use it. Better still would be to use your site as a source of original text, adding any third-party references such as press coverage of the event. That way, your original copyright remains intact. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 14:43, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again.  :) It's certainly better since there is no longer a copyright issue, but the tone is a bit too breezy and there isn't any indication of notability. This section can explain further. In the meantime, I've taken the liberty of creating a user subpage for you: User:Lbyrd1984/SouthEast LinuxFest. This will allow you to work online but off of the main article space until it's up to snuff. Good luck and have fun! --PMDrive1061 (talk) 14:08, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi! Still a bit breezy in the mission statement department, but much better overall. What would really help is whether or not any of your past speakers have their own articles here already. I'm taking a bit of a break from the project, but I'll pop by every so often. You may wish to leave word at the Wikipedia:Help desk or better still, the admin noticeboard at WP:AN to get another opinion. Thanks again for the contributions and I look forward to working with you in the near future. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 06:32, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PS: I just left word with User:Mad Pierrot regarding another issue and I discovered he's part of the site's open source project. Not only that, he was pretty impressed with the names you'd posted on the article. You may wish to get together with him regarding anything to do with Linux. I'm sure he can be of help. Back to my "wikibreak."  :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 21:31, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
