I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Blanche Gaston, is copied from another Wikipedia page, BlancheGaston. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

a link to the article you copied from
the date you copied it

Tortured tenses[edit]

I am longing for some American to explain to me about what I call "tortured tenses". It is something that appears frequently in poor quality American writing. Please explain to me why "the book would go on to become one of the forerunners" is considered better than the simple, narrative past tense: "the book became one of the forerunners". — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:17, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
