Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Song article violations. Thank you.v/r - TP 16:38, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Proposed Scheiße article

I'm not one to support fan cruft, which is why I wanted to approach the main editor of Lady Gaga's articles before I went forward with anything questionable. If you have some free time I'd like it if you took a look at my proposed article for the song Scheiße, and whether or not it should become an article. Clearly, the article would still require work done to it either way. Bruce Campbell (talk) 22:30, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

"Scheiße" already has an article, it was surprisingly created yesterday. You are welcome to add your additions and finds in the article too. Nice work. :) — Legolas (talk2me) 02:41, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
I have incorporated your wonderful additions into the main article. Good job Bruce. If and when I will nominate it for GAN, you will be a co-nominator. — Legolas (talk2me) 10:32, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Just thought I'd let you know...

...It's still happening. Even worse this time. I don't know if issues were dicussed somewhere else, but the creation of the review page was to pass it. :/ — Status {talkcontribs  07:46, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Oops already posted. Did not know but Status, there is definitely something fishy. And i have already spotted several issues. Jivesh Talk2Me 08:45, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
Zach, immediately take this to community reassessment at Talk:Rude Boy (song)/GA2. This is just not acceptable. — Legolas (talk2me) 09:59, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
On second thought, I have taken this to WT:GAN and raised a thread here. Please comment there as this is borderline pathetic. — Legolas (talk2me) 10:04, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
Legolas, do you have an idea about what has been going on here. What are your thoughts? Jivesh Talk2Me 10:25, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
I'm not venturing into that mess tbqh. "Party" was sent to Urban, and its available as download. Radio singles do not exist nowadays and this is a single per the same consensus with Riri's "Raining Men" and "Man Down". — Legolas (talk2me) 10:28, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
So you are totally sure it was sent for adds? Jivesh Talk2Me 10:46, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
"Party" was over 500 spins at Urban. Are you even doubting that it was sent? Urban radio is a small portion of Hot 100 Airplay now (Thank God for that) and doesn't have much stations. Hence the low spin count. — Legolas (talk2me) 10:50, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
Yes because it already reached number 40 on the US Hip Hop R&B chart without being a single. You can check. And finally on August 30, 2011, it was not sent. Jivesh Talk2Me 10:58, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
"Upgrade U" was never sent to radio. Yet, it peaked at number 11. And urban is surely a little. But it is enough to reach the top 75 on the Hot 100 chart based solely on airplay. Jivesh Talk2Me 10:59, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
"Upgrade U" was confirmed as a promotional single with a 12" disc released for this. Hence it charted. "Party" has already been added to the radio playlist. You should be knowing by now that RJs don't wait for record companies to release it exclusively. They play whatever they want. Add dates are just a custom, not a necessity. "Party" is still being played and downloaded as I write. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:03, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
This was exactly my point. "Countdown" is also being played and downloaded but that does not mean it is a single. Radios in the US play whatever they want. Jivesh Talk2Me 11:11, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
And Legolas as i said before all those people in those forums including ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=80335&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15000 ca not be lying at the same time., They may not be good at writing articles like us but they know more than us about radio and iTunes. Jivesh Talk2Me 11:15, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
One more thing; those two songs you mentioned are listed by R&R while "Party" was removed from there. Jivesh Talk2Me 11:17, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

(→)Go to WP:3O. I don't want to get involved in this. There's too much of namecalling going on there. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:26, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

To be totally frank, i am happy that some of friends believe me (well i do not know about you). And thanks for letting me know abut that WP:3O. Jivesh Talk2Me 11:30, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
Jivesh, I made it very clear that I don't want to get involved in such stuff, so pejorative statements like "friends believe me" doesn't exactly ring my alarm. And frankly, I'm tired of such discussions and next time, please read my edit notice. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:43, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
Calm down Avi. I just wrote that. I am not forcing you to get involved in that. That was not my intention. Take care. See you later. Enjoy your week-end. Jivesh Talk2Me 11:45, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

I made a request at the GOCE and asked them to focus mainly on the ref formatting. Just wanted to ask does it look okay now? --Commander (Ping Me) 11:21, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Better but not FLC quality. I still saw hardcoded website url names as well as inconsistency in reference for same publisher. And India Times is Times of India, not the other way round. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:24, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
I have made a few changes. By the way, do I need to wikilink the "publisher" and "work" parameters everytime? --Commander (Ping Me) 11:49, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
We generally wikilink the first instance of the work and publisher in the {{reflist}} and then don't. — Legolas (talk2me) 12:17, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Rude Boy and GAN

Yah. Thanks for that Legolas. I actually made it in purpose, 1. is for other users to see clearly was was being changed, 2. and I am tired. hehe. But that's fine, so that the page is mess free. Anyways, I've observed there's a lot of "shit" (sorry for the term) going on in GAN. Poor reviews and the "reciprocate" trend. --Efe (talk) 13:22, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Bingo! What's MIA? --Efe (talk)
Lol. Of course not, but what entered into my mind the first time I read your comment was indeed her. You know, sometimes I get too stupid. haha. --Efe (talk) 14:42, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Like a Prayer

Sure show me your other version if you like.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:42, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

I think my biggest concern is that there is a lot of she did this, she did that, she then, etc so parts of it don't appear as encyclopedic text and more like a story or something. Perhaps its unavoidable, but I do think the prose needs polishing. I'll see with Riley has to say. Other than that it would seem to meet requirements.♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:03, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Yeah its things like "But she understood that as she was growing up so was her audience"...♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:10, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Tim has read it through and has said he thinks the prose is fine but its a tough read. Can you condense it?♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:19, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Hello, Legolas. I am working to expand the Not Afraid article and have prepared a sandbox at User:Wikipedian Penguin/draft. Whenever you are free, could you do a copy-edit of the prose in the article? If I must, yes, I can wait. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 22:13, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Re: Fame Kills

I'm about to do DYK, I just hadn't gotten around to it. :P You think it's ready for GA? –Chase (talk / contribs) 20:39, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

And do you have any suggestions for the DYK hook? –Chase (talk / contribs) 21:12, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
It is ready for GA as it will never be improved upon beyond what is there, unless Gaga and WEst both have the brilliant idea of starting it later. And of course the most interesting hook would be "... that the concert tour Fame Kills: Starring Kanye West and Lady Gaga was cancelled, following the mayhem surrounding West's actions at the 2009 MTV VMA." Or something along this line. — Legolas (talk2me) 02:15, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
I was thinking about, but there's nothing in the article that explicitly states the tour was canceled due to the VMA outburst (and there was no official reason given) thus it's unusable. :/ I think I'll go with "... that Lady Gaga embarked on her 2009–11 The Monster Ball Tour early due to the cancellation of her Fame Kills tour with Kanye West?" –Chase (talk / contribs) 02:53, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
Nominate it. — Legolas (talk2me) 15:07, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Hey Legolas

I was looking at the conversation regarding http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Madonna_(entertainer) I am new to this 'editing' for Wiki. But I liked what you had to say but also found the whole topic/concept of questioning what is right or wrong to have in a encyclopedia biography on Wiki. I am assuming that Wiki does not have a "Template" of sorts with regard to the statistics section on the pages located on the right side for these entries rgarding demographic informnation (divorces/children)?

What I also wanted to point out was that the gentleman who was, for example, wanting "Queen of Pop" added, in my opinion, these are "descriptive" labels that a culture or society places onto a person, place or thing, correct? Would you agree with that? And if this preceeding sentance is more truthful a determination by a majority, then doesn't it seem that there would be a whole different "catagory" or section that was all about the person's influence over or within a culture/society? There, the facts could be objectively placed but under the auspices of cultural/societal inter-relationships. I do not like reading something where there are biases and descriptive words that have a different meaning or context, especially on a timeline in history, too. Something like "She has been called/labled the Queen of Pop [source] by many people [source] in the 1980's music industry leaders and consumers/followers [source] as well as mainstream media (?) [source]" as opposed to "She is the Queen of Pop" or even "She has been known for being the Queen of Pop" or "She is the Queen of Pop who started women's pop music" - all of these I do not like and think they have biased natures.

Take your time responding. It sounds like you have a large caseload. Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Weechva (talkcontribs) 18:02, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Question Again

Hi Avi. Can a promotional single, for example 1+1 (song) be taken to FAC? Or is that only for singles? Jivesh boodhun (talk / Make sure you give 4 a try!!!) 12:45, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Hey there Jivesh! Since I was just on this page and Legolas isn't on here yet I thought I might answer it (hope you don't mind!). Yes, promo singles can become FAs; a recent example would be this: Speechless (Michael Jackson song). So long as said article meets the criteria, any kind of article can have a shot at becoming a FA. Hope this helps! Crystal Clear x3 03:22, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Of course i don't mind. Thanks. Jivesh boodhun (talk / Make sure you give 4 a try!!!) 05:02, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Yep promo song articles can also be FA. "1+1" is far from it though. Anyhoo, if "S&M" is nominated, guess this can be too. — Legolas (talk2me) 15:07, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
Hmmm Legolas. Finally you are back. Please do not leave us for so long. I get worried. Lol. Can you explain how far "1+1" is? Listen, i know it is far from FA but i need more previsions. Please??? As i see, even this is not that great. Jivesh 1205 (talk / Make sure you give 4 a try!!!) 15:48, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
"Speechless" has deteriorated over the years. For "1+1", you need to satisfy each and every point of WP:WIAFA. Starting point, that ridiculously long lead section, a problem in most Beyonce articles, including its FAs. And I'm out of here. — Legolas (talk2me) 16:08, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. Jivesh 1205 (talk / Make sure you give 4 a try!!!) 07:27, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Thank you, question about Gaga updates

Dearest Legolas. thank you so much for all of your hard work, you deserve all of your awards and then some.

I'm new here and was dismayed about the Lady Gaga Wikipedia page, that has not been updated since the Sydney Town hall concert. There was no mention of Taiwan, MTV Japan AID, promotions at various talk and tv shows (the View, Jimmy Kimmel, SYTYCD), VMA performance as Calderone, winning the VMA awards You and I single released with video and fashion films, Cher ft Gaga duet, Tony Bennett ft Gaga, and on and on.

Don't know why it's so old and comparing to contemporary pop star Katy Perry (her page is updated to the release of her 6th single which was practically yesterday), this is really old and lags WAY behind.

So was wondering what's going on and I wanted to see what can be done about updating? I'm afraid I'm too much of a little monster and so I'm going to be totally biased, so I may not be the best contributor, and I don't have your objective, clear, writing style. Also, the page is semiprotected.

Thanks for giving me any information. It really is upsetting to see the updates so old, even as Gaga has this huge fanbase...

Thank you kindly. --DominoNelson (talk) 18:54, 17 September 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by DominoNelson (talkcontribs) 18:39, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

The informations you see missing from the biography page pertains to the Born This Way album article and is undue for the main Lady Gaga page. Cher ft. Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett songs are still not released as proper singles, so their notability is still not established. It will be updated if things change. Remember, this is a concise encyclopedia, not everything Gaga does has importance or can be added. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:17, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Indented line

Thanks again for your speedy reply and explanation. It's odd that Perry's page has her new single listed, the 3 VMA 2011 awards that she won, but no mention of Gaga's single You and I released and winning 2 VMAs for 2011. I would think that release of singles and winning VMAs would be considered an important and a major event? Please advise how I can add this. Again, legolas, I appreciate all of your kindness, hard work, consideration, precision. God bless you!--DominoNelson (talk) 14:58, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Perry's article is the definition of WP:UNDUE additions and fancruft. — Legolas (talk2me) 15:03, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I see. Thanks for assurance, wished Gaga would have the WP:UNDUE and fancraft to be more complete (is this really a bad thing?)--but I'm relieved that the Gaga page is being updated regularly. Best wishes.--DominoNelson (talk) 15:13, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Sorry for bothering again. I see your point. It shouldn't have any fancraft and undue stuff since it would be very unprofessional. I promise NOT to put any undue stuff on it, and thanks again for ensuring that the Gaga wikipedia page is objective and professional. Love and blessings.--DominoNelson (talk) 16:42, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Dead Billboard references

The Billboard references on the Madonna (album) article are dead. You probably just clicked through and didn't get a noticeable "404" error, but if you looked at the page it says "Sorry. There is no chart data for this week. Please try another, more recent chart" because the referenced chart is no longer available on the Billboard site. That qualifies as a "dead link" in my book. -- J. Wong (talk) 19:46, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

I have replaced those dead references with the physical magazine or with archived links. Thanks for pointing them out. — Legolas (talk2me) 05:13, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

21 FAC

So when are you taking it for a second round. Frankly this article is so ready for the bronze star. — Legolas (talk2me) 12:04, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Hi bud. It's been a while :). The article has come a long way, but to be completely honest, I think it's only about 70% ready. The prose is still rough in places, and a lot of info, especially in the chart performance section, needs to be sourced. Also, I'm looking to tweak/rearrange the "cultural impact" section etc. But, most importantly, I'm waiting a bit until the album's chart run has declined (it's still in the top 3 in the US, and 20+ weeks at #1 in a couple European countries). The album and its singles are still breaking records every week (yay), so information changes weekly. After a few months, I can actually write in a summary style and provide a comprehensive overview of the album and its performance/reception. Orane (talk) 03:44, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
Actually you are right. And if you take my suggestion, you have to wait until the Grammys are over as Adele is a sure-fire winner that night. Much content will be added after that I believe. — Legolas (talk2me) 02:17, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
The Grammys may be too far. I think that the more important parts of the article are already there (production etc). Changing a few paragraphs when the Grammy's come around may not be that much to affect the article. Orane (talk) 06:18, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
I have another question on a separate issue. Would you mind me asking? — Legolas (talk2me) 15:07, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
Sure. Go ahead. Orane (talk) 20:30, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
Have you seen the latest nomination of FAC for "S&M"? — Legolas (talk2me) 11:44, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I've seen it. I don't think it will pass, though. And to be honest, I do not think it's ready. I compare it to "4 Minutes", and the latter is far more comprehensive. As is, the article lacks a lot of information about the actual song- how it was written, what the writing and recording processes were like, an analysis of the lyrics. All we get are two very small paragraphs, most of which consist of quotations. Orane (talk) 03:37, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
Orane (apologize if that's not your name), my main concern of the nomination is the attitude of the nominator. It's like we are "supposed" to point out each and every error and "reviewers" are butchering the article, according to him. I am disturbed by such WP:IDHT treatment, and well, that way the article will never pass would it? — Legolas (talk2me) 06:17, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Yes, that is my name ;). I was just about to point out that the nominator needs to check his attitude, as he is being very defensive. It's obvious that he is frustrated with the review process (it seems to be the article's third time at the FAC process). But the article just isn't there yet, and it definitely will not pass with his attitude. If you haven't yet, you are free to point that out to him. Or, you can let him learn the error of his ways. Orane (talk) 04:41, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
Since I had already commented on the FAC before its transclusion, I don't wanna instigate it further. I was hoping we could get a fresh perspective on this and it wasn't just me who felt the attitude problem. Orane, if time permits, would you comment there? — Legolas (talk2me) 05:01, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Sadly, you can't swing a dead cat in a Republican party without hitting someone just like him - people hiding behind religion just to further their own zealot desires and have no consideration for all/any people hurt in the process. I don't like Urbandictionary.com, but most of their entries on Republicans hit the nail on the head. Crystal Clear x3 05:45, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Nice one. I promoted it to GA but prose still needs to come a long way if it is to ever pass FA!♦ Dr. Blofeld 08:13, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Replied on IHWIC's talk page. And I'm not closing this until both of you apologize to Status. You have done it, but I have yet to see this Jimee do it. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:15, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Thanks Legolas. But one thing, why should we be the only ones to apologize? Does not Status have part of the responsibility? ★Jivesh 1205★ (talk / ♫♫Give 4 a try!!!♫♫) 04:19, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

On the Jivesh situation...

I am doing nothing but merely stating my opinion. Jivesh's behavior has bothered me for some time now, and I feel that the both of us are old enough to discuss it. | helpdןǝɥ | 04:16, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Dude, merely stating my opinion =/= instigating a situation further, and you are old enough to understand it. If Jivesh's behavior bothered you for a long time, then why the hell you didn't do anything about it? Were you waiting for me to come and reprimand them? It doesn't work that way. When you have seen something wrong being done, and kept quiet about it, then please keep quiet when a solution is being mended. If you cannot do something to help a situation, don't make it worse. And there's no point in yapping the "I'm concerned" meme to me. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:20, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
No offense to you, but I really didn't (and don't) care if you were in the situation or not. In my eyes, you are barely a factor in this conversation. I was trying to be polite about the situation and I am still being polite about the situation. We are old enough to discuss this on our own. | helpdןǝɥ | 04:24, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
You can take that comment and apply it to yourself can you? This is between Jivesh, Theuhohreo and Status, and no need for others to butt in. If you are old enough, you wouldn't have done that petty fumigating thing. As I said, you are not helping the situation so just keep quiet. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:33, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
And aren't you such a shining example for maturity? Did I recall your recent edit summary saying, "Shut up"? | helpdןǝɥ | 04:37, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
I'm a foul beast, you will be tainted forever in my presence. Behold. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:41, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
...because your presence is heavenly... Honestly, I feel that you weren't needed in this particular conversation. I still respect you as an editor, however. | helpdןǝɥ | 04:46, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Do you see me talking directly to them now? I have just warned Jivesh and Jimmee/Theuhreo and suggested/pushed them to apologize. Its up to Status to accept it and move on, or give in to instigations. I have seen Jivesh making the effort and please don't clout it, I have yet to see the other one do anything. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:49, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

I am not clouting it and I feel disrespected by the fact that you are demoting my actions to "instigating". Status told me long ago to inform him when it comes to situations like this. I think that giving him all of his preverbial money so that he can spend it on what he chooses is the right decision. | helpdןǝɥ | 04:53, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

I still feel it instigated resulting in Status removing his comment from Jivesh's talk page. You did your job. Bravo! — Legolas (talk2me) 04:57, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Really? Him removing his comment happened before my message on his talk page in my watchlist. Check that out, would you? | helpdןǝɥ | 04:59, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Help please :)

Hi Legolas, how are you? what's new in your non-wiki life? did you recover a 100% already? About the help I need, I know that there are some articles that you promoted have this Legacy sections, what I wanted to know is what kind of information do you look for to do this section? I want to do that section for "Wannabe" and the Spice album. I see that some articles about songs from the last 3 years have that already, lol. I mean I don't want to come to be a jerk but even songs like "Party in the USA", "Womanizer" and "Tik Tok" have this Legacy section or a variation in the name, which is kinda ridicoulous to me, but anyway, that's not the point, so please help when you have the time. And by the way, I missed your talkpage, is always full of wiki-drama :D Regards. Frcm1988 (talk) 07:31, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Hey Christopher, long time no see. Ya frankly its ridiculous when those pathetic songs have a legacy section. The only recent songs close to have a legacy are "Single Ladies" and "Bad Romance" I think. Well generally legacy section is dedicated for a song which has a social impact. Take in consideration "Like a Prayer", "Material Girl" or "Papa Don't Preach". All songs were hugely controversial, they instigated strong reaction from listeners and religious/social groups, and led to countless debates and journalistic, scholastic discussions on what they portrayed, what were the hidden meanings etc. Plus, they introduced something new in terms of the video, or the music or the lyrical content. These all constitute legacy for a song, something it has left a lasting impression forever. Remember, parodying a video or covering a song doesnot constitute having a legacy. I think the Spice album can have a legacy section basing on album's achivement of popularizing Brit-pop in US mainstream, not sure about "Wannabe" though. Let me know if you need further clarification. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:51, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Hi again, ok I think I understand better now. When you put it like that, yes is going to be harder for "Wannabe" to have this section. And your idea for Spice is excellent, I remember reading an article about these girl-groups created by some labels as clons of the group, also how the number of girl groups exploded after they became succesfull, and of course what you mentioned about the reintroduction of bubblegum pop to a country that was dominated by R&B acts. Also I might mention something about this phenomenom that the press called "Spicemania" that appeared in Europe, similar to the "Beattlemania" in the US. Thanks for explaining. So what are you planning to do here next? still doing the Like a Prayer era? Regards. Frcm1988 (talk) 18:47, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Actually I'm planning to take "Like a Virgin", "Like a Prayer" and "Bad Romance" for FA. Yep, Like a Prayer era still continues. — Legolas (talk2me) 18:52, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Oh the big ones!!! You only need "Vogue" to have the trinity of Madonna songs completed. Frcm1988 (talk) 19:26, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

By the way Legolas, did you know that there is already an article about the recording of "Just Dance" in Sound on Sound, just in case you ever want to expand the article. [1] Frcm1988 (talk) 19:54, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Lol, thats the 1980s trinity right? The 1990 trinity would be "Take a Bow", "Frozen" and "Music" and the 2000s would be for "Hung Up", "4 Minutes" and....? And yea, I know about that Just Dance article. Wish they had about Poker Face. Did you know that SOS publishes more in their physical magazines? I found there about "Bad Romance", and some other Madonna songs too. Diodn't see Spice Girls there. — Legolas (talk2me) 20:06, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
I don't know why, but as time has passed I like "Just Dance" more than "Poker Face", perhaps because it remind me of a simpler not that weird Gaga. I know that there is a physical publication but I have never actually see one, altough I haven't looked I think it would be nearly impossible to find it or buy it in my country, unless I order one via internet. I only saw a small portion of "Wannabe" on an interview with the guy that remixed it. Altough I found an entire article about Emma's "What took you so long?", really weird. Perhaps some day I will develop the article. Frcm1988 (talk) 20:22, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

lady gaga you and i

The City / State versions section definitely needs to be included. I spent a good bit of my own time looking into this after hearing the "Pittsburgh Version" on the local radio station, and there was no information available on the Wikipedia page as to if that was the original version or why such a version was made. If we can't count on Wikipedia to contain this information, than what can we count on? If the information needs to be expanded or tweeked, that's fine. But to delete it entirely - and using a bot no less - is just unreasonable. We're a community here and need to work together. Please add the section back. Thanks Djyueng (talk) 18:12, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

You answered your question. If there is no information available, its not notable. Wikipedia is not a garbage dump. Only the notable things are included. — Legolas (talk2me) 18:41, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Re:

I tried my best to on Jivesh's talk page, but he just insisted to keep trying to convince me that he had the right away on "Party" all along with removing unsourced content with fancraft. I wasn't even saying that in my message. I was trying to get out of him why he was being so rude to me. I told him that we'd continue the discussion after I got back from school, and right after Theuhohreo gets banned, he says he doesn't want to speak to me ever again. Oh, ok? I tried... I'm just gonna leave the lest of it alone. There's obviously no discussing this with either of them. Both of them obviously can't handle being confronted about their actions. Care to explain to me why Theuhohreo was banned anyway? Is it because of this or, what? Reply on my talk please. — Statustalk contribs  19:48, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Yeah; at least I can say I tried. May I ask what he did? I see the summary was deleted, but I'm a nosy bugger and would like to know. If you don't want to tell me, you don't have to though. Perry Discography

I have addressed everything except the following two issues which i need you to do for me if you could please and thanks:

  • What is the need for reference #2 to be formatted with {{harvnb}}? Its a single journal reference.
    • Ive never actually used an offline reference before, i stole the template from one of your Madonna articles BUT i guess i stole the wrong one. Can you correct it as i don't know which one should actually be used.
  • Dutch Top 40 website is actually published by Radio 538, while MegaCharts is the one who compiles it.
    • Not sure which fields you want changed to what, again if you could make that change it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for participating in the FL nom btw, hope you are well. (: - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 22:15, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

Commented and remember my last point there. Place the templates carefully. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:20, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for doing those two for me. And yes the template got screwed up because someone created "Archive1" before and it got deleted, so it confused that template initiator. Thanks for correcting that as well. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 22:22, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Born This Way

Born This Way is a bit messy, however, I think that with a little bit of sorting up, re-organising and stuff, it can be made into a good article. The substance is there - it's just that it needs to be set up in the right order.

However, there are some things which I think still need to be added.

Firstly, in the Other notable songs section, shouldn't "Scheiße" and "Marry The Night" be added, as they are charted songs and they have their own individual articles?

Secondly, I think that the composition section needs to be merged with the themes and influences one, and made into sub-sections. It should be one big section which should be divided in themes/influences and music/lyrics, rather than being two separate sections.

Thirdly, I think the article (in due course) will need a legacy section. I know it wasn't released that long ago, however, just like Adele's 21, it's been very influential in contemporary music. The title song has been parodied and remixed several times, and the album itself, as can be read in an Adele article, is considered to be one of the three leading records by female artists, alongside Adele's 21 and Beyoncé's 4. Lady Gaga is, at the moment, one of the, if not the, world's most influential artists, with millions of Little Monsters, and, she has truly influenced fashion and music. She's brought a lot of glam rock, disco and synthpop-influenced styles back into mainstream American popular music, and Born This Way, alongside The Fame (which started it all), are truly the albums which mark her worldwide influence on modern-day culture.

What do you think?

--&レア (talk) 13:35, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Yes, sorry, I've just looked at the article and two of the three points had already been achieved. What about the last one?

--&レア (talk)

Another point I wanted to raise. On "Hair", the genre space labels the song as "Disco". True, it does have evident and verifiable disco influences which have been pointed out, however, I believe that its electro-rock/pop rock and dance-pop roots are far stronger than its disco ones, as can also be seen by different references. What I propose to change to is:
Either Dance-pop, electro-rock, disco
Or Dance-pop, pop rock, disco
However, in general, nothing which leaves out the song's evident dance-pop and electro/pop rock nature.

I feel bad for Status

I know how he feels. I've had that happen to me on "Sparks Fly" not to long ago. It's just a mess no one deserves to be personally attacked on here. No one. JamesAlan1986 *talk 13:29, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

I hope you do cause that stuff is wrong. I may be still learning the ropes but I at least listen to what I'm being told. If I hadn't Sparks Fly wouldn't have gotten to a B-class level. Course I had Status' help with it but I did a majority of the work. LOL! JamesAlan1986 *talk 19:13, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Good for you. Apart from Taylor Swift, whom do you listen? — Legolas (talk2me) 19:19, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Like Status I also like Hilary Duff, some Eminem, some Beyonce, Reba McEntire, Kenny Chesney (*drolls at the name LOL!), Sara Evans, this list goes on. LOL!

Ahh mostly country I see. I used to be a stan for Reba, until some of her political views turned me away. Lol, why the drool for Kenny? Btw, "Beat of My Heart" is my fav Duff song. One day I plan to make it GA. — Legolas (talk2me) 19:24, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

I was raised on country so it'll always out beat any other genre lol! I like Swift wanna eventually become a country singer. And why I'm drooling on Kenny is because he's HOT! to me. LOL! My favorite by Duff song would have to be "Wake Up". Cool! I hope you do I was the one who actually uploaded the sample song onto the page. ^_^ JamesAlan1986 *talk 19:29, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
