Declined A7s

Hi Lettler -- I've declined a couple of your recent A7s -- Space Force One and Statistics of the COVID-19 vaccination -- because they did not fall within the highly limited area that A7 covers. A7 is intentionally very limited so that it only covers topics in which a large number of non-notable articles are contributed and where a strong consensus for deletion exists. Belarusian Dance

Potential vandalism:

Hello. You nominated Belarusian folk dance for deletion, and the message was posted on my Talk page. I see a mistake or gross incompetence here based the justification provided: "This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic." Please remove this from my Talk page, if you made a mistake. The article is under improvement for editing and reference updates; however, it should not be deleted based on the criteria you indicated. Ronald Reagan page.

You keep removing the categories of American military personnel of World War II & United States Army officer categories from the Reagan page. Reagan was on active duty (as an officer) with the cavalry before being transferred to the AAF. Reagan was also on active duty during World War II in the United States military. This category (to my knowledge) includes stateside service. Ergo, please stop removing the categories. Regards.Rja13ww33 (talk) 04:44, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

There is no policy here I am aware of that eliminates a category based on anything being superseded. It's a very basic category. It isn't unusual for armed forces personnel to fall into multiple categories.Rja13ww33 (talk) 04:51, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

I did add more detail to this stub and I added 20 references to substantiate the information that I entered!

Ernst Udet - Olympian in what?

I see you list Ernst Udet (about whose flying career I have read) among the list of Olympians killed in WWII but not noted as such in Olympedia. I find no mention of sports interests in his wikipedia article. What event and when did he compete in?Cloptonson (talk) 14:57, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

According to our guideline, such third relists need to be accompanied by a relisting statement. Additionally, as a non-administrator I urge you to be careful with AfD relisting/closing. As WP:RELISTBIAS points out non-adminstrators can be tempted to do actions which they have the tools to carry out and it can be hard to judge which discussions are controversial and thus need administrative closure per WP:NAC. Why change "New Zealand" fighter pilot to "New Zealand-born"?

I noticed you changed the short description on the Edgar Kain article from from "New Zealand fighter pilot" to "New Zealand-born British World War II flying ace" [1]. The article correctly calls him a "New Zealand" fighter pilot, so why did you change it to "New Zealand-born"? What's wrong with "New Zealand Fighter pilot"? How was that an improvement? Kain isn't notable because he was a fighter pilot; he is notable because he became an ace. A short description should be a short explanation of what makes a person notable. Really? What part of the bolded word born did you miss? It was bolded because it was the guts of my question -- and you haven't answered it. As for British, I am amazed at your deflection. Check out Vernon Keough, Andrew Mamedoff and Eugene Tobin, RAF pilots all. Are they British too? And note well, they are called Americans, not American-born. Your response prompted me to wonder about your editing so I decided to check. I needed to go back only as far as your previous contribution [2] to see you had left an untrue and misleading edit summary, "fixed grammar", when you had actually deleted information from the article. I am not talking about the efficacy of the information, but am pointing out that editors have a right to expect edit summaries to be accurate, and yours wasn't. I'd recommend writing your own summary when you remove or add text; that's what edit summaries are for, after all, to tell people what you did :) Although I noticed that there is a reference for what you removed from the lead in the body of the article. Edit warring over a short description
