If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Angel Air Records, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Russavia Let's dialogue 05:44, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Actors

There is a current discussion at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2011 July 15 on singers and there seems to be support for keeping them as separate gender categories. I've always thought actors and actresses should be split for convenience sake of browsing. If you agree I'm considering proposing to split actors into actors and actresses. Helen Mirren categorized as Category:English film actresses just seems right don't you think? ♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:56, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

(Actress) definitely. I'll see what a few of the others think and then make a proposal.♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:30, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Please comment at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers#Splitting actors by gender.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:35, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Yep, just plugging away at German television series. Oh how anglo centric we are..♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:36, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Your incorrect edits to dates

Isn’t it certainly you who needs to take a close look at the page you referred me to? It clearly says, "When either date contains a space, the en dash is preceded by a space and followed by a space. When dates are year-pairs, no spaces are used, e.g. "(1943–1971)"." (Also, take a look at this.) And you seem to have been relentlessly changing my edits to the previous wrong edits. Please go back and revert your incorrect edits. ~ RogDel (talk) 18:55, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

It seems you’re not listening! Your edits to dates are incorrect! They are clearly violating the WP rules; and if you think the rules should be changed, I’m sure you need to get consensus. Till then refrain right away from changing my correct edits. ~ RogDel (talk) 19:12, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

Help me out with something

Hello Lugnuts. I am currently having this dispute with User:Ending-start about Template:Hilary Duff. This person insists on a having the films that she starred in listed in the template [1]. I am only following your example with these edits that you made on Template:Lindsay Lohan [2] and Template:Justin Timberlake [3] Also it does make sense that films be listed in these templates being that person will do more films as the person's career continues. The article The next Shane Warne has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. RohG ??· 13:56, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

What more information would you add to the page? I've added a great deal of good information and would prefer it to stay on the page. Eholderm (talk) 09:51, 10 August 2011

I think there is some useful information in the text you added to A Useful Life, so I moved it to the talkpage, so it can be assessed and re-added if needed. Lugnuts (talk) [08:19, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
The plot for one and the various awards (providing they can be sourced). I think the info about the director and the Global Lens 2011 Series is a bit too much like spam. Lugnuts (talk) 16:54, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
I can definitely provide sources for the plot and the various awards. I don't think the info about the director and Global Lens 2011 sounds like spam, it just provides useful information about both and I would like to keep that information on the page. eholderm (talk) 10:46, 15 August 2011

Exactly, actually it was an email with Ser Amantio about it which prompted me to visit the article. You know you;re dealing with the true chavs when you see some lad in a full tracksuit LOL.♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:06, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Why do you keep removing the state coding I added to this template? The coding defaults to "autocollapse", so if there's more than 1 navbox it will automatically collapse, but will be uncollapsed if by itself. If you find it "intrusive" in stub articles, then adding the text "|state=collapsed" to the template will collapse it. Indeed, 99% of the time, this is why I add this code to a template, because the template's current state coding will not allow it to be collapsed, and on small articles an uncollapsed navbox is intrusive. So there's no need to remove the coding, just collapse the navbox when you find it visually instrusive. Thanks. Beyond My Ken (talk) 22:38, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Greatest

You would you call the Greatest Film Star of All Time? I'd have to go with Bogart or John Wayne. I'd have to put Lawrence Olivier as the Greatest Actor of all time. Most glamorous Marilyn Monroe or Elizabeth Taylor. Greatest Actress of all time, Bette Davis, Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn? Greatest Living Actor? Mmm Jack Nicholson or Anthony Hopkins I think, Greatest Living Actress? Mmm Meryl Streep or Judi Dench? ♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:10, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

My dad's brother is the spit of Charlton Heston. They have the same eyes.♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:06, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

What about the "Hottest Actress of all time". I've always had a thing for Veronica Carlson. Unless you really see her on screen and her demeanour you can't get the full force of just how mesmerizing she is. I could gaze into her azure blue eyes forever!! Photograph here. Wow in red boots here. I also have a thing for Claudia Cardinale.

Watch this and let me know if Carlson does anything for you. She makes me all Austin Powers lol. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:54, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Random survey

Hi, This is a random survey regarding the first sentence on the Wikipedia policy page Verifiability.

"The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—whether readers can check that material in Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true."

In your own words, what does this mean? Thank you. Regards, Bob K31416 (talk) 22:10, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. No, I can't see myself ever returning to the way in which I used to edit. I'd prefer to just make little edits here and there on Wikipedia. Unfortunately, Pearl Jam rarely comes to the Southeast, and I don't have the money to travel, so I won't be attending any shows. However, I'm looking forward to the movie, book, and soundtrack.-5- (talk) 07:55, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Regent Records (US) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. The article Angel Air Records has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Firstly the article is spam. Secondly, it doesn't have independent, third party sourcing to anything remotely approaching what one would regard as a reliable source. There's no notability, and hence it should be deleted.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Russavia Let's dialogue 13:25, 30 August 2011 (UTC)

Note, I only created the intial redirect, not the article. Lugnuts (talk) 13:38, 30 August 2011 (UTC)

De-stub of The Cement Garden (film)

I guess I should thank you for upgrading the page status. It is the first time that I've ever contributed to an article significantly enough to have its status changed (hopefully, for the better). Cheers!KlappCK (talk) 14:03, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Your edit of The Cement Garden (film): (Undid revision 451501421 by KlappCK (talk) so complete it). <--- Your edit comment was hilarious to me. Seriously though, I'm at work, man. I saw that this was added to the end of the Forrest Gump (novel) summary today, and, since I knew that I hadn't finished writing out the entire plot summary (because I haven't finished the movie), I should probably give people a warning of some kind. Perhaps this is proof that I'm a bad editor? I'll try to finish the plot outline later today or certainly later this week.KlappCK (talk) 15:15, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Cats

Hi Lugnuts. As I understand it the {{Film US}} etc templates in the infobox put the cat in automatically. I look at the cat section after each edit where I have removed the cat and they are still there as long as said template is in the infobox. If this is incorrect then my apologies but if it is then I have not affected the cats being in the articles. Thanks for your time and continued happy editing. MarnetteD | Talk 18:40, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

Sounds good. The EL template {{IMDb title}} etc also puts the title of the film automatically in the link so I remove it unless there is a qualifier like (1938 film). I don't think there is a need to put it back unless it is important to you. Again my apologies if any of this causes offense I am just trying to let you know what the reasoning is for my edits. Cheers MarnetteD | Talk 18:46, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
