Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Lux44-musicpages, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Harley Huke, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Wgolf (talk) 05:01, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Harley Huke has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Please do not link to illegally hosted copyright material. (recent inappropriate links have been to a copyright news page on imagr and a news broadcast segment pirate copy on Youtub.) Only link to pages and websites that are officially and legally hosting material. In addition, you posted copyright materials on Wikimedia Commons claiming that you were the creator and making it free use. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 06:43, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you do actually own the copyright to the image, you will need to follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials and realize that you are donating it for anyone to use for any purpose they want for free. (including placing Hitler mustaches on it and captioning it Huke, de Fuhrer.)
You should also probably read WP:NPA and realize that you will always be held responsible for this. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:24, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And if you do own the copyright image used for the CD cover, then you have a conflict of interest and should probably not be editing about the subject. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 20:17, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notability on Wikipedia

[edit]

Note that I have deleted the article Harley Huke under the A7 criteria for deletion, namely there was no credible importance or significance asserted for the individual. Please review WP:MUSICBIO, and if you believe that Harley Huke's meets the notability criteria for inclusion outlined therein, I would suggest starting an article in your user subspace using the article wizard which will guide you through the creation process. This will give you extra time to work on the article at your leisure without worrying it will be immediately deleted. Once it is complete it can then be moved into article space if sourcing and notability guidelines for inclusion are met. Note also that future personal attacks such as this will likely lead to a block of your account. If you find yourself in a content dispute this is how you solve it.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 04:25, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:TheRedPenOfDoom. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Diff: [1] TheRedPenOfDoom had a valid concern about the copyright status of the photo you uploaded. Ad hominem attacks only makes you look bad and they are not tolerated at Wikipedia. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:10, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
