The photo in the Archives box above is of St Paul's Church in Strasbourg. It is just across the River Ill from the University, and I saw it on most days when I was a student in the city.

Happy New Year

[edit]

Well, things were beginning to get back to normal early in the old year, but then the war in Ukraine turned the world topsy-turvy and it has dominated my life ever since, mainly because of my connections with Ukraine and with Romania, a country which has been very badly affected by the war. Nevertheless, I wish all my Wikipedia friends a happy 2023.
