Speedy deletion nomination of Indian institute of sindhology[edit]

Hello M.k.soorya,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Indian institute of sindhology for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kavdiamanju (talk) 13:38, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Kavdiamanju -- I need to get this page registered in the right way so people like me who are trying to search about our culture which is in a way lost are able to get to this organization. If you have any specific requirements to be followed and added to this page, let me know. This is my 1st effort to work in wiki so may need time, but will get it done. would appreciate the support M.k.soorya (talk) 13:47, 25 April 2016 (UTC)MKS[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Indian Institute of Sindhology requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Please do not delete maintenance tags without explanation and without fixing the issues they refer to[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Indian institute of sindhology, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 14:09, 25 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Melcous -- dont understand what template did I remove. all that am trying to do is get the page to do better as per expectations and reverts am getting and each of the admin guys like youself are only confusing me instead of helping out as what needs to be done better. All I want is to link the page from Sindhology to Indian Institute of Sindhology which is an organisation trying to help people like me get some lost culture back rejuvenated. Your revert will be much appreciated if you can help understand what more needs to be added so the article looks and feels right to be part of the encyclopedia of wiki.M.k.soorya (talk) 14:21, 25 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, you have just done the exact same thing again! The templates are at the top of the page, for example the one saying that the article is unreferenced (which is still is) and that the subject's notability has not been established (which is still has not). Please do not remove these again unless you can provide references which clearly show that the topic is notability. See the articles linked to for further information. It also appears that you may have a conflict of interest and if so you should carefully read that article too. Thank you, Melcous (talk) 15:10, 25 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Melcous -- Ok. I have not removed any marking this time and will request you to make the removals as you deem fit. Have put in a good number of external references as per the page on notability and unreferenced. As for COI - there is no such involvement from my side with the organisation. I am a Sindhi, yes and thats the only reason I want this entity to get its page so as I learn more about it I will keep updating this page. I hope this makes sense. If otherwise, let me know what more needs to be added. cheersM.k.soorya (talk) 05:24, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You need to read about how to add references: WP:Referencing for beginners. David Biddulph (talk) 08:14, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have again restored the tags after you have deleted them. Please be patient. As suggested above, you need to take the time to read and understand how to properly add references and establish notability of the subject, then take the time to fix the issues before these tags should be removed. Also, the tags are not there as a "punishment" to you, they are there as a reminder that there is still work to be done on this article, and they may even attract other editors who can help you fix the issues they refer to.
