Apis dorsata

[edit]

Hi, could you replace the "According to our survey" part in Apis dorsata with a citation to a published source per WP:V ? I would be interested to read it. Thanks. Sean.hoyland - talk 14:29, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Author/Izhamwong

My name is Nuša Farič and I am a Health Psychology MSc student at the University College London (UCL). I am currently running a quantitative study entitled Who edits health-related Wikipedia pages and why? I am interested in the editorial experience of people who edit health-related Wikipedia pages. I am interested to learn more about the authors of health-related pages on Wikipedia and what motivations they have for doing so. I am currently contacting the authors of randomly selected articles and I noticed that someone at this address edited an article on cataracts. I would like to ask you a few questions about you and your experience of editing the above mentioned article and or other health-related articles. If you would like more information about the project, please visit my user page (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Hydra_Rain) and if interested, please reply via my talk page or e-mail me on nusa.faric.11@ucl.ac.uk. Also, others interested in the study may contact me! If I do not hear back from you I will not contact this account again. Thank you very much in advance. Hello Izhamwong, thank you for completing the survey. The second part of the study involves being interviewed, it is really just answering some simple questions about your editing and motivations for doing so. Would it be possible to interview you this week? I comduct interviews over Skype (username Wikiproject) or you can send me an email to nusa.faric.11@ucl.ac.uk and I will send you a written interview which you complete in your own time and send it back to me. Thank you and your input is very much appreciated! Nush Hydra Rain (talk) 16:31, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Taxobox

[edit]

Izhamwong, I'd love to assist you with updating it, but I am terribly busy right now in my job hunt. I would recommend posting at Template talk:Taxobox; a large community watches that page and hopefully someone who understands how the code works will be able to assist further. User:Smith609 would be my recommendation, but I know he's also been terribly busy the last few times I've needed to work with him on code. Good luck, Bob the WikipediaN (talkcontribs) 14:17, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! That is enough for me to start the project. Wish you a happy day, then. Izhamwong (talk) 14:30, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia study- Thank you

[edit]

Hello Ma_Hzi_Wong or Izhamwong then!, I hope you remember speaking to me in the summer of 2012 about your motivations for contributing to the health-related pages on Wikipedia. The great news is that the study got published this Wednesday in JMIR (Journal of Medical Internet Research). You can read it here: http://www.jmir.org/2014/12/e260 This would not have been possible without your contributions so once again, I would like to thank you for taking the time and sharing your experiences with me. I also wrote an entry about my own experience with the study, about additional observations and how I plan to further extend my research - published in the WMF blog today: https://blog.wikimedia.org.uk/2014/12/who-writes-wikipedias-health-and-medical-pages-and-why/If you have any comments or questions please get in touch.Perhaps see you at the next Wikimania conference in Mexico! Best Wishes Hydra Rain (talk) 21:22, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
