IBM Web Explorer 1.2

I think that it is the version present in every OS/2 Warp 4. I don't remember if current eComStation still includes that. --Error (talk) 01:14, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

de:Line Mode Browser / Nicola Pellow

Hi! --Raphael Kirchner (talk) 18:03, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Rollback

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback correctly, and for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. Arena

I copy-edited Arena (web browser) and also wanted to let you know that the OTRS tickets finally went through, so all the images are marked with OTRS approved.Smallman12q (talk) 13:39, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

THX for the copy edit. Really good, since in a few days the GAN reviewer will start (since it is the second oldest article at the moment!). I'm not allowed to look the ticket. How to look at this? mabdul 15:10, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
You need to be in OTRS to view the ticket. So long as the ticket is there, the images are fine=D.Smallman12q (talk) 01:59, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

I reverted you're edit! please read my comment and give a prober reference for that! mabdul 19:12, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Have you also changed the source that mislead me?
If not, you should do that.
I don't dare because I don't know anymore what's correct.
(Had a very convincing blog post once that showed me it was true.)
Don't know details anymore.Thelennonorth (talk) 09:09, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
I didn't changed anything. But as you said: if the reference is a blog than it mighty be reverted/removed since it doesn't passed as a reliable source.
On the ofter side this is the reason not using wikipedia as a reference. please don't do this again! mabdul 11:11, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

Dave Raggett

Would you care to expand Dave Raggett's article at User:Smallman12q/Dave Raggett? It shouldn't be difficult to make it a DYK. I'm currently occupied with User:Smallman12q/John Robert Radclive, (a canadian hangman who lost his mind =/).Smallman12q (talk) 00:09, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi. As you recently commented in the straw poll regarding the ongoing usage and trial of Pending changes, this is to notify you that there is an interim straw poll with regard to keeping the tool switched on or switching it off while improvements are worked on and due for release on November 9, 2010. This new poll is only in regard to this issue and sets no precedent for any future usage. Your input on this issue is greatly appreciated. Off2riorob (talk) 23:40, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

hmm. it is a feature in Firefox 4. I have used it numerous times. I am not sure what you mean by reference. Saqib (talk) 04:56, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Line Mode Browser

The peer review for Line Mode Browser has been archived, and I think I've made the changes Finetooth (talk · contribs) described. If you wanted to nominate it for a good article or a featured article, I would support it.
--Gyrobo (talk) 13:58, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

mmh I'm really busy at the moemnt (maybe you recognized it already). I will nominate the article - normally we have to wait one or two months... Don't you think we need another look at the times? (is/was the browser is actually halted...) mabdul 19:36, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
That might be something needed for featured article, but the way it's written, it will probably make it as a GA.
--Gyrobo (talk) 20:00, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news, but in my opinion this article isn't yet ready for GA. I've left a detailed review here. Malleus Fatuorum 17:06, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

SpaceTime (software)

I've expanded SpaceTime (software) software a bit. I'll expand more later...just thought you should know. (It doesn't seem to be an actively developed browser...but still interesting.)Smallman12q (talk) 15:38, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

IP block exempt

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. -- Cirt (talk) 15:23, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I was really worried that I made something wrong. Thanks. I will read now the given WP:pages. mabdul 15:30, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Development stopped because I had to do a Ph.D. in astrophysics.  :-) :-) Also because I was in Texas, I didn't have either the access to capital that netscape did. At one point I did have an interesting conversation with Richard Stallman (who tried to convince me to stop doing astrophysics). and later I did talk to a lawyer from Microsoft, which was another interesting experience.

It is interesting because I was involved in tkWWW as part of an effort to develop better tools for scientific visualization and physics education, and now even in 2010, the tools aren't very good, and there has been very little progression is educational courseware since 1991.

The timeline looks good.

Roadrunner (talk) 02:14, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

I don't remember releasing a 0.17 and a quick google doesn't show anything from that. I'll take a look at some ancient backups to see if I can find anything. Roadrunner (talk) 16:06, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately, I don't know of anything published that would make it onto the article. I *do* know of some interesting facts that aren't in the article, but I don't know how to incorporate this into the article.

AIR Mosaic

I've created the AIR Mosaic browser article rather than a redirect to Internet in a Box. Internet in a Box was a popular software package, akin to Microsoft Office, but Air Mosaic was the browser, akin to Microsoft Word. You shouldn't redirect the browser to the package if it was notable enough, which it was.Smallman12q (talk) 14:09, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

you might be right, but as long I have no time and lust to create already another article I thought it would be better to have at least any notice/redirect what this product was than nothing. mabdul 16:44, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
It's usually best to create a stub over a redirect as there are other editors (including anonymous ones) who will expand the article over time. You may also be interested to know that air mosaic was at one point popular for its "hotlists" feature.Smallman12q (talk) 18:06, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Hey, I was just looking over the list of members on the Podcasting group and wanted to see if you were still active in the project. If so, it looks like the project could use a little jump-start. In particular, I think notability requirements and assessment guidelines could be added/updated. Please check out the page if you're still interested and move your name to the 2011 active list. Thanks! Udeezy (talk) 23:11, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I'm afraid I can't help you with the request for Computer Magazine. I think it's a "popular magazine" and not a scientific one, so my university does not have access. Good luck finding it! -- Sander (talk) 13:03, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

The author of this article contested the PROD—an action which you reverted. According to WP:DEPROD, the author's action was permitted and the PROD should not be reinstated. Apologies. I've now undone my revision. I didn't research the reason for italicizing titles beforehand. Now I've found a mention of it on the talk page and have also noted the "italics = No longer in development" at the bottom of the template, I understand. Hello, Mabdul. I see a lot of dead links in Adobe Integrated Runtime's External Links section. (All links in Security sub-section seem dead to me.) However, before I go ahead and delete them, would you please take a look at them too? Maybe they are experiencing a temporary down time or whatever. I thought a double-check is better than nothing. This is just to let you know I've removed your "* Comment" in the "PC reduces vandalism, but so does semi-protection" section of this page (as it violates the stated conventions of that page, which are pretty much being followed). If you want to have your comment read and discussed, apparently it should go on the associated talk page. -R. S. Shaw (talk) 03:17, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Favicon at DYK

I determined at T:TDYK that the article Favicon was not appropriate to DYK. I based my decision on the rules found at Wikipedia:Did_you_know#DYK_rules, where it describes the requirement for a 5x expansion and a "new" time frame. The fairly slow expansion of favicon over the past year does not qualify. Binksternet (talk) 19:34, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

revert clarification

I noticed your revert of my edit at Hooker, I changed it because I generally see names unstylized, but I admit I'm not sure on the policy regarding sylization. Also, I don't really understand your edit summary in reference to the change. If you could provide some clarification I would appreciate it. Thanks Monty845 21:58, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

Oh I noticed that I (or twinkle) reverted not all changes that I wanted to. The "problem" was - as statet correctly in the edit summary - that there should be only one wikilink per entry on a disambiguation page.As statet at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages)#Individual entries:
Each entry should have exactly one navigable (blue) link to efficiently guide readers to the most relevant article for that use of the ambiguous term. Do not wikilink any other words in the line.
