Welcome to Wikipedia! We could really use your help to create new content, but your recent additions do not assert the notability of their subjects and have been reverted or removed. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Ryūlóng 08:48, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the article you had written about yourself was against the guidelines set by Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#A7, Wikipedia:Autobiography, and Wikipedia:Vanity guidelines (and maybe Wikipedia:Spam) since it was about yourself, only, and about your work. Your article had been deleted once before this last time, and unless you can show that you have notability, then I suggest that you simply do not yet write about yourself. I would also like to direct you to Wikipedia:Notability (people), where you can learn more about why your article was deleted. Ryūlóng 09:01, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Christian Tomsey

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Christian Tomsey, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Fan-1967 03:15, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Christian Tomsey. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. -- wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 04:39, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please delete the page immediately. -magicbymccauley

Speedy deletion of Joseph Yurawecz

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Joseph Yurawecz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to Anecdotal evidence have been removed because you cited the information you added to another Wikipedia article or an external wiki. As discussed at our policies on circular sourcing and self-published sources, Wikipedia and other wikis should not be used in citations because they are not considered reliable sources. You are welcome to re-add the information using a different reference, perhaps from the article you originally linked to. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. :Jay8g [VTE] 07:08, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I understand and I will do my best to add new references. References to other dictionaries were being flagged as copyrighted material, which is why I was simply using wikipedia. I'll see what I can do. Magicbymccauley (talk) 15:31, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
