Thanks for the image gallery in the Stupa article. It was very much needed and looks fantastic. It greatly improves the article! Woodega (talk) 19:56, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Battle of Nalapani

The article Battle of Nalapani you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . There is an issue concerning the attribution of public domain sources. If these issues are fixed within seven days I will resume the review, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Battle of Nalapani for things which need to be addressed. Nev1 (talk) 18:31, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi Nev1, Thank you for the detailed comments on Battle of Nalapani. I am quite new to Wikipedia and am still learning its culture. I will try to fix the issues that you mention. But I am not sure if seven days will be enough, since I will be traveling abroad for a week. Can you consider extending the deadline? (Manoguru (talk) 02:26, 27 March 2012 (UTC))
The period of seven days is flexible so I'm happy to extend it until you have time to get to get to the article. Nev1 (talk) 11:44, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the consideration. While much of the concerns that you raised can be cleared away in maybe two or three sittings; I will be able to get back to the article only after 5 April, provided I have access to internet by that time. Best Regards. (Manoguru (talk) 11:55, 27 March 2012 (UTC))
No problem. The article's been at GAN for nearly three months so it would be horrible twist if it failed simply because a reviewer finally turned up when you weren't around. Nev1 (talk) 11:59, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi Manoguru. I'm sorry to say that the article wasn't made a GA this time round. I explain on the review page that issues with attribution to the public domain sources are still outstanding. Good luck improving the article, and I hope you take it back to WP:GAN in the future once the issue has been addressed. Nev1 (talk) 22:45, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi Nev1, thanks for looking at the article. It has definitely improved because of your feedbacks, although I am a bit disappointed that it didn't make it. It would be a great help if you could pin point places where you still found the lack of finish. Thanks for your efforts. :) (Manoguru (talk) 16:56, 7 May 2012 (UTC))

Battle of Nalapani GA3

G'day Mangoguru, I'm not sure if you have had a look at the latest GA review of Battle of Nalapani or not. If not it is here: Talk:Battle of Nalapani/GA3. I have had a go at addressing a couple of the reviewer's concerns, but as I have only been involved as a copy editor, I don't have the knowledge to address the concern about the Background section. Are you able to have a look and make the required change? Cheers, AustralianRupert (talk) 09:32, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi Rupert, Thank you for the reminder. I had not taken a look at the Battle of Nalapani page for a while, as I was busy with my real life. I will try to make the required changes, and let us hope the article goes through!! Cheers, (Manoguru (talk) 12:19, 7 April 2013 (UTC))
Thanks both (and just so you know, I wouldn't have failed it without giving you a prod here first!) That is great work and I think now the only thing lacking is to provide a citation for the new paragraph on the strategic situation - shouldn't be too hard! Regards--Jackyd101 (talk) 00:12, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

File:Sugauli 1814.jpg missing description details

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 09:10, 14 April 2013 (UTC)

Statistical Signifiance

Rather than engaging in a potential edit war, why don't you use the talk page and discuss it further. OK? If you are not familiar with the process, try going over WP:BRD. danielkueh (talk) 04:10, 25 November 2013 (UTC)

I only reverted you "bold" move. It is up to you to explain why you changed the article structure. (Manoguru (talk) 04:17, 25 November 2013 (UTC))
I will be happy to explain it to you if learn to use the talk page. If you can refrain from being obstructionistic, that would be most helpful. Thanks. danielkueh (talk) 04:21, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
You should take your own advice and give me an explanation. I am all ears. So far I don't see your justification on the talk page. Note that I have not changed the lead paragraph, and I agree that it is better off than before. I also think it to be a good idea that the History section be brought up first. However, I don't agree with the rest of it. If rooting for what I think to be a better version of the article is to be labeled obstructionist, then obstructionist I am. If you want a reasoned discussion stop with the ad hominem. Here is a compromise: Explain to me what is wrong with the motivation section, and we can perhaps work towards a resolution. (Manoguru (talk) 04:46, 25 November 2013 (UTC))
It is not ad hominem, it is a fact. You have not been helpful since the beginning of our discussion on the talk page. Furthermore, it doesn't help that you are quite ignorant of standard WP policies such as WP:OR, WP:V, and WP:RS, as exemplified by your recent edits on that page. In any event, I have furthered reduced the size of the other two sections. The reasons are provided in the edit summary. If you have a specific question, why don't you post one on the talk page. Thanks. danielkueh (talk) 04:55, 25 November 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 5

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Could you take a look at this article?

Jaya Nepal, sir. I see that you are an active wikipedian and intersted in Nepali history. Could you take a look at the Talk:List of Prime Ministers of Nepal page and think about how best this article can be edited?

Shirsakbc (talk) 10:33, 17 November 2014 (UTC)

Sure, it would be my pleasure. BTW, I am intensely working on the article on Bhimsen Thapa and I hope to nominate it as a Good Article. I would be glad if you can proof read it and suggest improvements. (Manoguru (talk) 11:43, 17 November 2014 (UTC))
Yes, I looked at your article, can't really find anything to change really. I also asked one of my friends(uID:uttamjkl) to take a look and he thinks its good too. However, I found that there is a little controversy about most of the dates, for example the date at which Rana Bahadur Shah reached Banaras, from what I have read is 27 May (This date is given by D.R. Regmi. You have 18 May on your article which is suggested by Baburam Acharya). There is indeed controversy among the historians (primarily Baburam Acharya and others), however I will do a little more research to find out which date is usually more credible. Otherwise, the article is, from my view, consistent and well constructed overall. Shirsakbc (talk) 14:36, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
Thanks! The exact date of Rana Bahadur's exile seems to be very conflicting since different authors seem to say different things. e.g. K.L. Pradhan says its 1 May. But all agree that it was around May. It would have been nice if the reasons for the disagreement could be determined. For instance, the death date of Bhimsen has disagreements but the disagreement can be explained. Any suggestions on how this can be handled? (Manoguru (talk) 13:00, 21 November 2014 (UTC))

I've also changed the info at Gautama Buddha. My compliments, again. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 09:19, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

Thank you very much, Joshua! I wrote something in the talk page of Wikipedia:Gautama Buddha Birthplace sources and quotes before noticing the changes already made at Gautam Buddha article. O very well! The way it stands, I think it can still be brushed up a bit. BTW, there is a rather ugly looking bar chart given in the Timeline of Buddhism, do you know someone who can make it into a tree diagram instead? Manoguru (talk) 16:18, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
Maybe Thumperward knows. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 19:56, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
I've no experience with timeline charts I'm afraid (though I really should learn). Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) (talk) 10:05, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
