If you think a section is incorrect, don't just delete it; discuss on the talk page for the article ۩ Dracion ۩ ✎ ✉ 21:09, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, I believe Marcnweiss did the right thing in deleting the P.O.V. history section. Three months earlier I had marked this section as unreferenced, and I had also left a message on the talk page that I was going to delete any unreferenced material. In that time not a single reference was added to ensure the verifiability of the information. It is unfortunate that Dracion did not take into account this history, and Wikipedia policy on verifiability, before reverting Marc's deletion edit and labeling it as vandalism. - Sarilox (talk) 19:14, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at User:Marcnweiss. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at User talk:Creffett, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. BoothSift 23:20, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info -- just added four tildes to Creffett talk page.Marcnweiss (talk) 23:29, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User page

[edit]

Your user page is not a workspace for creating draft articles. Please move this content to another page you made, Draft:Marc N. Weiss. Wikipedia's userpage guidelines describe what is considered acceptable and unacceptable content.

As previously mentioned, it is not a good idea for you to write about yourself at all, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:41, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Just updated Marc N. Weiss article. Marcnweiss (talk) 16:12, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
