A tag has been placed on Abou Hashima requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Wgolf (talk) 15:40, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Ahmed Abou Hashima

[edit]

Hello Marwa bayoumi,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ahmed Abou Hashima for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Wgolf (talk) 15:40, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ahmed Abou Hashima, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Information icon Hello, I'm Samwalton9. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Ahmed Abou Hashima because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Promotional paragraph in Ahmed Abou Hashima

[edit]

Hi Marwa. As you have now been reverted four times by two different editors, please stop trying to add that paragraph into the article. Wikipedia articles need to be written neutrally and not be used for promotion. The paragraph you are attempting to reinstate is unduly promotional; it describes the subject as "a role model for the youth who look up to him" and says he is "famous for being patriotic". It makes claims to "the actual truth", and contains no sources. Please cease adding it. Samwalton9 (talk) 16:59, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Either that, or add a reliable source. Sources in Arabic are acceptable if no English source is available. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 19:44, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Abou Hashima.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

Information icon

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Marwa bayoumi, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Marwa bayoumi|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. 2A01:4C8:49:B2A2:F8BB:87FF:FEF2:73D6 (talk) 09:38, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, as you did at Egyptian steel. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Request reason:

Your reason here I dont do Promotion for anyone. This data about Egyptian Steel company. It is only an informational article. I have supported the relevant links with it. I realized the error that it is better not to put links from the company’s website. If you have any other comment about the article, please direct me. Marwa bayoumi (talk) 07:52, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It is quite obvious from your edits that you have a connection to this company, the Terms of Use require that to be disclosed if you receive any form of compensation from the company(including a salary for general employment). Please read WP:PAID as well as WP:COI. There is no pathway forward unless you are fully open with us. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:19, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
