Thanks for your feedback. I am not very familiar with editing on Wikipedia. I am studying on Iranian history and culture. May you help me to add this ref link properly : https://eurasiandna.com/2659-2 I wanted to revise the description. Mavis Smith 1 (talk) 17:47, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but that DNA related site does not look reliable at all. Is their stuff peer reviewed? Either way, it's certainly not reliable to use for historical related stuff. --HistoryofIran (talk) 18:13, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The site includes numerious references at the bottom if you may check them. But I think you mean there must be histrians' point of view.
Sİnce, new findings can cross with old definitions, genetic studies must be considered too. Zagrosian and Central Asian Neolitic Groups take an important part in Persian and Kurdish cultural background and ancestry. This is why I added this DNA study too. But in the end, I take linguists such as Windfhur and Mckenzie seriously. Their definitions got mentioened in this article too. According to this current description on wikipedia page, Kurdish and Persian subgroups divide strictly in early 10th century. This explanation is quite gappy and outdated. Because it doesn't count the huge gap after collapse of Sasanid Empire. Linguistically the seperation of North Western -Kurdish Languages in first place- Iranian Languages from South Western -Persian at the first place- Iranian Languages seems like earlier; happens to be during Parthian era or so (Rise of Middle Iranian Languages). Middle Persian dialects seem to be evolved on Sasanian Pahlavi, meanwhile Kurdish Languages' evolution based on Parthian Pahlavi which is contributed from Median and Eastern nomadic elements (Scythian, Bactrian, Sarmatian etc). This proves Kurdic groups don't only conclude Western Iranic elements. So non-Persian Western Iranian is not a precise definition, I guess. Therefore I considered to change it into "Medo-Parthian origin North Western Iranian nomads". Mavis Smith 1 (talk) 20:11, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
By the way I found the site I added from an another archeology blog who is studying on Indo-European archaeological complexes. I am not sure if it is suitable for this subject. Mavis Smith 1 (talk) 20:21, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but just because they are using references doesnt mean that they are reliable. Please see WP:RS and WP:SPS. --HistoryofIran (talk) 21:31, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
