Disambiguation link notification for April 24[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited State-owned enterprise, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Telia. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom 2017 election voter message[edit]

Hello, MaxPlays. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

December 2017[edit]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You know better. -- ferret (talk) 20:41, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Mifter (talk) 21:25, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I made the edit after I watched the Dunkey's video, thought it was funny and did not think about it enough. I didn't know what the consequences would be. I learned my lesson and I won't let it happen again. But at the same time I think the block was unfair, because the warning said: "if you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice", but I still got blocked, although I didn't vandalize after I got the warning. MaxPlays (talk) 17:31, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. SQLQuery me! 03:49, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I agree that the edit that I made was disruptive to Wikipedia and I understand why I was blocked. I promise to not do what I did then again, and continue doing productive edits to Wikipedia. MaxPlays (talk) 10:25, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your response (while appreciated) doesn't address all of the concerns regarding the reason for your block. You've also been blocked for using more than one account to cause disruption on Wikipedia, and you didn't address this at all. Until you do, I'm not going to approve your unblock request. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 10:41, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

block, and why they were inappropriate. Please describe in detail what you will do instead. Please deal in detail with your block evasion/use of more than one account. Please describe in detail what constructive edits you would make.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 16:37, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I admit that the edit I made to Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy was wrong and inappropriate and I understand why I was blocked. I promise I will not vandalize Wikipedia again and that the block is no longer needed to prevent damage or disruption. The accused "block evasion" may come from the fact that I tried to make a new account after being blocked. Since that option was clearly visible for me, I thought it would be allowed, but I was wrong. I have not evaded the block in any other way. I want to be unblocked because I would want to contribute to articles of several topics as I have done on the English Wikipedia before the block and on the Finnish Wikipedia. Decline reason:

You were asked by AGK to demonstrate a contribution [...] by cpying the source of an article, pasting it into a new section, and making the change(s) you would make. As I can see, you only pasted a content of an article here, but did not make any changes. At least, you did not save the changes as separate edits, so I can't see them. I just did what AGK said: I pasted the source and made the changes. I didn't know that I had to do the changes in a separate edit, since nobody said to do so. MaxPlays (talk) 17:00, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Questions from administrator(s)[edit]

Hi, MaxPlays:

  1. Have you edited Wikipedia or created an account since being blocked?
  2. Please demonstrate a contribution that, if unblock, you would like to make by cpying the source of an article, pasting it into a new section, and making the change(s) you would make.

AGK ■ 19:58, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

1. I haven't edited the English Wikipedia at all outside of this talk page after being blocked. I tried to make a new account, but it didn't work since my IP was blocked too. 2. I'll do this later. MaxPlays (talk) 20:04, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

It's now been over a year since the block and I would want to be able to contribute to the Wikipedia again. I already explained the reasons why I should be unblocked in my previous requests. MaxPlays (talk) 17:13, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficiently convincing for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 12:15, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I got blocked nearly two years ago after I did one inappropriate edit. In that time I've grown as a person, and understood that what I did was wrong, and that it's not anyone's benefit to vandalize a project like Wikipedia. The supposed block evasion came because I tried to make a new account soon after I was blocked. I didn't know it was against the rules, since the option to create an account was clearly visible to me. You can see that my edits on Finnish and English Wikipedia have all been helpful to the project, except for the edit I was blocked for. I hope you can now forgive my mistakes and unblock me, since I would really like to be able to edit English Wikipedia again. MaxPlays (talk) 14:42, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

It was not right that you were blocked for one edit. The warning was sufficient and only if you had continued to cause disruption would it have been correct to block you. I am sorry it has taken 5 unblock requests to fix this. Welcome back and I look forward to seeing many constructive edits from you in the future. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 16:14, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for unblocking me, I really appreciate it. MaxPlays (talk) 18:47, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
