ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:00, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary (e.g. “translated from de.wiki”) and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. I’ve added it for you. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 06:57, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Incomplete and unattributed translations[edit]

I should perhaps mention that there is no point submitting badly unfinished translations from other Wikipedias, such as (one among many) Christian Amalvi, as they will just be draftified or even deleted. If you submit completed translations, such as Germaine Veyret-Verner, for which many thanks, you should please attribute them as per WP:TFOLWP for copyright reasons. Best wishes, Ingratis (talk) 23:39, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Conversation (painting)[edit]

Hello, MaybeItsBecauseImALondoner. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Conversation".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

Hello, MaybeItsBecauseImALondoner

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Hilst, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Trees in L'Estaque, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Hilst}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!
