Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Dutch East India Company in the Malay Archipelago, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Batavia. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Transition to new order

[edit]

As always I appreciate your efforts on articles about Indonesian history, and sorry I never got around to contributing to your Indonesian nationalism article! By the way I reverted your recent edit about the New Order because I think it actually would be useful to link to the Transition to the New Order article. It's part of the "story" of its development as a concept or regime. --Dan Carkner (talk) 14:40, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into Draft:History of Indonesia during War of Independence. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from page name; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted copied template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. A tag has been placed on Nahdlatul Ulama (Political Party) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add NoACEMM to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:59, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Flags of the United States of Indonesia, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 18:15, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

you have an article that is neither here or there

[edit]

User:Mhatopzz/Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Indonesia

The article is in effect not in main space or in user space - you have categories in action at the base of the article - if it is really still in user space the categories need to be suppressed until it is in main space - however if you want it in main space you need to remove your user name from the title... please make up your mind! JarrahTree 15:55, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I'm so sorry, it must be a mistake, I was planning to rewrite the article. Mhatopzz (talk) 16:00, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Never apologise - just get the categories undone (using 'nowiki tagging) and take care - if it is a draft - find a tag to put at the top of the page to make it very clear you are still working on it... JarrahTree 16:04, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No, don't tag it as a draft, I might not constantly working on it, and may leave it when I'm bored with it, it was just planned, not an ambitious project Mhatopzz (talk) 16:10, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Mhatopzz. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Flags of the United States of Indonesia".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Proclamation of Indonesian Independence

[edit]

Hi. I saw you added the time for the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence on the page, but I think this needs a source. There is some uncertainty about the time because in 1945, Jakarta was on Japanese time. I'll see if I can find a reference, but do you have one? Regards Davidelit (Talk) 06:41, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I'm sorry, I thought it was necessary to put a time date on the infobox because I saw it in the lead article, If you feel doubtful about it, you may revert the edit. Thanks Mhatopzz (talk) 09:04, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oops. I missed the (cited!) mention of the time in the lead. My bad. I didn't revert it because of the large number of good edits you have made in the Indonesian project, and I wasn't 100% sure. Apologies. Davidelit (Talk) 11:10, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I found a source and edited the article. The proclamation was at 10am, but Japan Standard time (GMT + 9), which the Japanese imposed on 27 March 1942. This means that the annual reading of the proclamation should really happen at 8am WIB, but I guess it would be difficult to persuade all the guests to get up that early :-). Decline reason: I'm not sufficiently convinced, based on technical data, that you are unrelated to that account. Please make a new request, explaining exactly what, specifically, your relationship is to that other account. Yamla (talk) 14:00, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Dwinug". The reason given for Dwinug's block is: "Persistent addition of unsourced content". Note: My account have nothing related to this @Dwinug user, but apparently @GiantSnowman blocked me due to what appears to be that my IP Address was used by Dwinug. I don't think it is necessary to explain further, I'd assume we all can understand what's the problem here, so please lift my autoblock quickly so I don't have to wait for 3 hours to be unblocked automatically. Mhatopzz (talk) 15:13, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason: Procedural decline - the autoblock appears to have expired as you appear to be editing again. However if any further autoblocks occur you will need to provide more details about the connection with Dwinug's account, as per Yamla's comment below. Note that I am not a checkuser so cannot view the technical evidence. Voice of Clam 14:53, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree, I believe you do need to address the relationship between the two accounts, as the technical evidence shows it is closer than just pure coincidence. --Yamla (talk) 16:20, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Well, in this case, I truly don't know if I had any knowledge about the relationship of mine and his account, we have never shared any IPs, You should probably ask him instead. Mhatopzz (talk) 06:16, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ternate infobox

[edit]

Hello, I apologize first if me contacting immediatly sounds rude but may I ask about why did you change the Ternate infobox to island's one? I agree that it is both an island and a city, but the city is clearly the primary topic and that replacement from city infobox to island infobox removed some necessary elements like the city's coat of arms, HDI, etc and arguably the city one look more aesthetically pleasing. May I revert it back to the city one? Thank you very much Nyanardsan (talk) 11:44, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Because the article itself is centered on the fact that ternate is indeed a city and an island, but the city infobox hold less information than the island infobox. Mhatopzz (talk) 11:48, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Mhatopzz
I disagree, the aritcle is mostly explaining Ternate as a city, and current coverage of Ternate mostly refers to itself as a city. I think both infoboxes should present as compromise, or if possible we split the article between Ternate (city) and Ternate (island). Also I am in favour of standarizing all regencies and cities article formatting (which has been quite bad), so the city infobox I think is necessary for a city article. Otherwise there is no place to put the city-centered informations such as its coat of arms Nyanardsan (talk) 12:00, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

(To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

 • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
 • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
 • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
 • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
 • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 22:02, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Some people take them very seriously, and have real issues when there is no explanation of why you did a particular edit, and I am no good example as i regularly just use the word add for a range of changes. However when replacing images on Indonesian articles, it really helps if you can explain, simply why something replaces another. Thanks.

I had considered a very lengthy explanation as to choice of images about Imogiri on my talk page, but have decided against it. Sorry, I cannot explain here. JarrahTree 04:55, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh sorry for your inconveniences, but sometimes, whenever I replace pictures, I did it just to place the most recent picture or add a higher resolution picture with no intention to revome some of the information. I only put explanation whenever I consider the edit I made would make a significant difference than the previous one or whenever I found a vandalized article. Mhatopzz (talk) 05:17, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
edit summaries are very important, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Edit_summary.

According to the consensus policy: All edits should be explained (unless the reason for them is obvious)—either by clear edit summaries, or by discussion on the associated talk page

- but for the imogiri context, that is too complicated for a simple explanation here - for a range of reasons I would always put an older photo, but no big deal... JarrahTree 10:18, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
