AWB[edit]

Sorry but I have declined your AWB access request. See edit summary for explanation. —Wknight94 (talk) 11:56, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've added some more information.. should be fine now. The artice was created by me as part of WP:AFC don´t really know much about it. Cheers! Acer (talk) 13:39, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

excessive speedies[edit]

Please see WP:STUB. The articles you are placing speedies on are most of them acceptable starts for articles. See WP:CSD for the definition of no context. If it is clear what the article is about, it has context. It is furthermore recommended not to place speedies of articles within the first few minutes of creation when the user may be working on them. Please don't bite the newbiews--and please don;t make extra work for the admins. You could help me clean up things by placing apologies on the user pages where you placed the warnings. Some of the speedies were properly deletable, and i did delete those articles, but sometimes using a more appropriate reason DGG (talk) 14:33, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your good intentions are recognized, but read WP:Deletion policy and WP:CSD carefully before you go back to it; then go do some PROD first, one or two at a time, and work up from there as you see how it goes. PROD is the safe thing to do when in doubt. I'll keep an eye out. DGG (talk) 23:40, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AWB Again[edit]

Declined again. You must have more then 500 edits to article space to be considered. Please do not apply again until you have reached this milestone. Spartaz Humbug! 10:05, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies[edit]

I would like to apologize for failing to notify you in regards to my entry at the Administrators noticeboard. It was a honest mistake in good faith - nothing personal. Please see my full explanation. --James Bond (talk) 04:54, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CIA figures[edit]

Sure they are, check here [1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sbw01f (talkcontribs) 12:43, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I know, but that CIA data, I suppose that those statistics are from the World Bank though... Let's see if someone else will raise the question about that. Cheers.

Replaceable fair use Image:Amritaps cheema.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Amritaps cheema.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? mattbr 13:50, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rio[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Rio de Janeiro. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please take a close look at what you're reverting. you're removing valid citations, and fact tags which are permitted under WP:CITE. inclusion of such information is not vandalism nor major changes to the article Michellecrisp (talk) 23:27, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

you don't need consensus to add references or fact tags. Wikipedia is an open edit encyclopaedia. Michellecrisp (talk) 02:37, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

October 2008[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Rio de Janeiro. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Michellecrisp (talk) 02:41, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

November 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to James Webb Space Telescope, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. -MBK004 03:12, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Project Roony[edit]

A tag has been placed on Project Roony requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. AfD nomination of Project Roony[edit]

I have nominated Project Roony, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Project Roony. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Bongomatic 14:02, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please delete the article.--Mhsb (talk) 02:08, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request for help[edit]

I thought it might be a good idea to run a contest or two through the Countries WikiProject to attract editors to improve country coverage on Wikipedia, especially the country outlines.

I noticed you are a member of the WikiProject, and was wondering if you could help.

I've posted a message at Countries WikiProject talk page to get discussion started on what the awards programs should be and how they should be run.

Your ideas and feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with 2009 Sydney dust storm. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you.
Please stop. If you continue removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, as you did with 2009 Sydney dust storm, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
I have repleaced the WP:AFD tag which is not a speedy deletion tag, and commented at WP:AN. Please leave the tag alone. Pedro :  Chat  10:40, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your opinion would be appreciated[edit]

As a member of WikiProject Countries, I'm seeking your opinion on a possible issue identified at List of sovereign states. If you have some spare moments, please contribute a comment at the Discussion of criteria. Best regards, Nightw 06:24, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Comparison of Asian national space programs is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Comparison of Asian national space programs until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion.
