Blocked as a sockpuppet[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:RandomGuy2018 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/RandomGuy2018. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Girth Summit (blether) 09:29, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is the first time something like this has happened to me as well as I've joined Wikipedia only a few days ago, so I don't necessarily consider myself very "knowledgeable" in regards to the website. Would like to know how exactly do I fix anything if possible. MichaelBeEverywhere (talk) 13:42, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello! So today, after having spent only a few days on Wikipedia, I've been blocked for sock puppetry. From what I could gather, it aparrenly means that an automated system has thought that I and another user, User:RandomGuy2018, are the same person for some reason. For the reason though, as I understand it thought this since we both are from Latvia (which for me at least is true, I'm indeed Latvian and quite proud of it). I'm submitting this unlock thing since I hope it would help fix the problem. Would be quite a shame if my Wikipedia editor hobby lasted for only a few days. Hopefully this will help and I hope I've done this unblock thing correctly. ~Miķelis (Michael)

Decline reason:

No automated system was involved and you haven't addressed the findings, including the confirmation, over at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/RandomGuy2018. Yamla (talk) 14:07, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

No need to reply in such an unpleasant way. I don't really know much about Wikipedia yet so any help or advice could be nice to have. MichaelBeEverywhere (talk) 14:20, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

So I'm submitting this request again. So I've been blocked because apparently someone thinks I'm the same person as User:RandomGuy2018 since we are both from Latvia. I would like to be unblocked. I'm new to Wikipedia and don't know much about how everything works so if this request is declined again (and I'm sure it will), I hope to get more help as to what exactly I'm doing wrong or what to do exactly to help get my account unblocked. Do I just wait for the others accused to do something? From what I gather, none of them have posted any unblock requests or anything so do I just hope for them to do that? Previously I got my request declined and got a short, unpleasant answer which made me feel like I'm a moron who doesn't understand anything and I didn't appreciate that. That's all I can say really, if it's still not enough or no one will help me understand better what to do, then I guess I'll just say goodbye to Wikipedia, I don't think it's really worth it. There are several advice pages about this, such as Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks and Help:I have been blocked. Our server logs indicate that you and Randomguy frequently end up on the same IP address. You'd need to credibly explain why this would happen because it's usually the result of sock puppetry or meat puppetry. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 19:11, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
