Chabot Space and/& Science Center[edit]

I didn't know the ampersand version existed when I created the non-ampersand version, but now that I look at the older page it is a complete copyvio from here. I think that because of this, any original content from the older version should be merged into the newer one (instead of the other way around) and then the old version should be deleted. Your thoughts? --Daniel Olsen 23:08, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, my talk page is the perfect place to reply to me. As for the content, you should merge the older version (Chabot Space & Science Center) into the newer one (Chabot Space and Science Center), that is, any material in the old one should be added to the new one, not the other way around. After you do that, I can get the page moved over the copyright violating page. --Daniel Olsen 01:51, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Stereolab2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Stereolab2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok 17:28, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Commercial use of Image:Thrilllogo.gif[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Thrilllogo.gif, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Thrilllogo.gif is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Thrilllogo.gif itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:03, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Resurrecting deleted pages[edit]

Thanks for your comment on my talk. My apologies, but I don't know how you would go about getting a page that has been marked for speedy deletion, and then deleted, resurrected so you could amend it and bring it back in line with policy. I don't really know where you would start - perhaps by asking the same question but posting {{helpme}} on your talk page? Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 22:03, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Neo-Burlesque[edit]

Hi Mig- I'm working on the Neo-Burlesque/New Burlesque merge and I was wondering which term you thought was the more widely used among the community since you had mentioned your involvement. Of course its a largely semantical question, as either page will redirect to the other, but I'd prefer the "master" page to be the more widely used title.

Thanks, -LTB. Uniuniunium 22:11, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Miss Exotic World Pageant has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Failed to meet WP:GNG. The topic did not receive significant coverage in reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Richie Campbell (talk) 18:22, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Ive just added some significant citations to the article. I donot think this article needs to be deleted now. 27.60.143.161 (talk) 20:00, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
