Hi. You will be aware of policy on living people, I'm sure. Everything we write has to be accurate, and reliably sourced. It also has to be verifiable, so personal memories of his schooldays are not permitted. If you can refer to a biography dealing with his schooldays, that's fine. As for the picture, to release it for free use here, you'd have to be the photographer (in most cases). Just having a copy, even if you're in it yourself, is not good enough. Best of luck, however, it would be an interesting addition to the article, but you have to read carefully. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 20:44, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: 1974 Class photo of Tom Cruise. I can certainly appreciate how information must be true and accurate. That was the reason I initially submitted as you have inaccurate information with regard to Tom Mapother (Cruise). Sorry, I am not the photographer. I marked SELF in confusion as I am in the photo. This is my class picture from 1974. This photo was also used in Andrew Morton's latest book on Tom Cruise. Not sure how he used it if I can't. Could you recomend a better code as there is none refering to Canada pre 1978. The closest I could find was Template:PD-Pre1978 which I believe is U.S. Only. As well, I have a number of footnotes (to web sites) supporting the information I provided. However I'm not aware how to include such web sites. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Fair use rationale for File:Cafe del mar vol2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Cafe del mar vol2.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:36, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer be able to have them marked as minor by default. For more information on what a minor edit is, see WP:MINOR or feel to get in touch.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 23:05, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Dejan Lazarević (Serbian musician) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Paste Let’s have a chat. 17:37, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Café del Mar Volume 3.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Café del Mar Volume 3.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm GrapefruitSculpin. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Acura MDX, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
