If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on James Georgeff, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Sir Sputnik (talk) 03:48, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Creation of articles[edit]

Hello, I'm Sir Sputnik. I noticed a fair number of article's you created are now up for deletion, so I thought I'd take a moment to explain why this is happening and how you can avoid it in the future, so you can edit more constructively. In order to have an article on Wikipedia, a subject must meet certain inclusion criteria, called notability. For footballers, which appears to be your area of interest, there are two relevant notability guidelines. First, the general notablity, which applies to all subjects, says that any subject which has received significant coverage in reliable sources is notable. In the context of football, significant coverage does not include routine sports journalism such as match reports, squad lists, player profiles, or transfer announcements. Second, the football-specific notability guideline says that any footballer who has played for his country's national team or in one of the fully professional leagues listed here. Played in this context means appeared in an actual match, not just being part of the squad or even named to the substitutes bench. Avoid subjects that don't meet these criteria and your future creations should be fine. On an unrelated note, I also noticed you've cited transfermarkt in a number of articles. Please avoid this source in the future. Much of its content is user-generated, so it's considered unreliable. Thank you and happy editing. Sir Sputnik (talk) 04:10, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for family information[edit]

Hello, and thank you for trying to improve family information for footballers. What you probably didn't know is that everything we add to Wikipedia pages should be verifiable from a reliable published source. This is particularly important when it comes to personal information about living people. We have a policy about it: WP:biographies of living persons. So next time you add personal information to a WP page, please at the same time add a link to where you got the information from. Thanks, Struway2 (talk) 09:10, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Marty Cintron (musician) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
