Bugette

Hi, there is a funny at [1] where the bot has deleted a "Collapse bottom" tag, while leaving the corresponding "Collapse top" tag in place, resulting in virtually the whole page erroneously ending up collapsed. 86.181.200.241 (talk) 11:36, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am lost....

Since you archive the Village pump.... I was looking for a discussion titled: Surname Clarification at top of article. I can search it in the "search" field and shows me a link but the link just takes me back to the main villagepump policy page. Is it in Limbo now? QuAzGaA 16:40, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is here in Archive 88.

Key?

Can I get a key for my MiszaBot config? It doesn't seem to want to store archives for me. If you check my talk page, you'll see its a subpage of a subpage of my talkpage. So I think that is why I would need a key for this. :D LikeLakers2 (talk) 17:56, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It should be fine. The bot will archive your page during one of its daily run as soon as at least two threads bear a timestamp that is 7 days old. When the bot ran today, you had it set to 14 days and no threads qualified. –xenotalk 20:07, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but I have it set to archive to User talk:LikeLakers2/Archives/Archive %(counter)d. Ever since I editted the config to use that as what to archive to, it has not archived ANYTHING at all. LikeLakers2 (talk) 17:40, 12 August 2011 (UTC)`[reply]
Well, now it has. I'm not clear why you want the double depth (/Archives/Archive 1).

Question about archiving

I recently set up Miszabot for automatic archiving of my talk page using the following code:

{{User:MiszaBot/config | algo = old(7d) | archive = User talk:Topher385/Archive %(counter)d | counter = 1 | maxarchivesize = 70K | archiveheader = {{talk archive navigation}} | minthreadstoarchive = 1 | minthreadsleft = 4 }}

Note that I removed the some of the braces here simply to show the code, but they are there on my actual talk page. Upon archiving Miszabot did not put my older threads into the specified page. Instead, my talk page history reads as follows:

(cur | prev) 15:36, 11 August 2011 MiszaBot III (talk | contribs) m (4,164 bytes) (Archiving 19 thread(s) (older than 24h) to /dev/null.) (rollback | undo)

I'm not sure what I did wrong here. Topher385 (talk) 19:59, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. –xenotalk 20:20, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Note: Adding nowiki tags and the braces to the template view you used. :D LikeLakers2 (talk) 17:43, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that several subpages here are no longer getting updated. The last occurrence was August 4. Has the bot purposely stopped performing this task or is this a malfunction? If the pages are not going to be used any longer, I am happy to delete them all and also to remove the links and transclusions to them. --After Midnight 0001 13:55, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Finding old edit history on archived talk pages

This is the problem I am having. Usually there is no reason to go back on a Talk Page. Except in this case one editor is misrepresenting another editor - changing my edits - also actually changing what I finally said.

I would like to be able to go back and prove that to an Administrator. It has happened twice. Would you please direct me on my talk page how to find these edit histories on Archived Pages, specifically on the Talk:Death of Caylee Anthony/Archive 7 and other archived discussions of that same article that you have been archiving. Thank you. Mugginsx (talk) 21:52, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

not archiving - what is wrong?

For the last few years MizaBot III has been providing great archiving of my talk page, suddenly it seems to have stopped. I am at a loss as to what I am doing wrong if anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks is advance.--Cerejota (talk) 20:09, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing? The bot does not archive sections without a date. You need to do those manually. Vegaswikian (talk) 21:00, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Except the posts not archiving all have dates. Thank you for not being helpful :) --Cerejota (talk) 01:25, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The top 9 sections, down to User talk:Cerejota#Feliz Día del Pavo (Gracias), don't have dates. That section does have a date, but it's incomplete. You can manually archive those sections, or dig out the correct dates from your page history, or just add some dummy datestamps of the appropriate form (e.g. "00:00, 1 June 2011 (UTC)") You may as well just erase the 3 "Hello, Cerejota. You have new messages..." notifications; either you responded or you didn't.

Template use...

In MiszaBot's config template, is it possible to specify a parameter that would normally be used in the thing for what page to archive to? Like, would |archiveheader = {{User:LikeLakers2/Personal_Templates/Archive_nav|counter = %(counter)d }} work, so that I could use the counter var for parameters in my template? LikeLakers2 (talk) 18:13, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, I read the howto pages for the bot, and apparently I can. LikeLakers2 (talk) 18:15, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Simulated Reality

I've attempted to undo the autoarchiving of the discussion page of Simulated Reality being performed by Miszabot I which leaves the discussion page with a text dump of another page entitled Simulism. It's also not properly archiving the existing discussion page.

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Lordvolton (talk) 22:18, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because large chunks of article text shouldn't be dumped on talk pages like that. The level 2 headers don't have timestamps, so MiszaBot didn't know what to do. I've just gone ahead and manually archived it. –xenotalk 22:29, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Egypt population

please update Egpt population to 80,776,000 and that is according to source cited in the page so please updated to be like the source thanks--Riuken (talk) 00:01, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Trackers

What has happened to the trackers? Their last update was Aug 4. This feature has been very useful in catching files/days that have slipped through the cracks. If you do resume the service, can you please add Category:Wikipedia files missing permission and Category:Replaceable non-free use Wikipedia files?
